Alexander Isaac finally completed his blockbuster for Liverpool on the deadline, and was supported by his new teammate Alexis Mac Alistair to make a big impact.

Alexis Mac Alistair admits that he and his Liverpool colleagues were tired of the Alexander Isaac Transfer Saga before his prominent move. The Swedish striker was caught up in a summer tug of war with Newcastle United, expressing his desire to join the Premier League champions.

However, he had to wait until the deadline to put the pen on paper after the Reds and their finest competitors finally agreed to a UK record £155 million deal. Isaac was trained separately from the Magpie’s first team during preparations for the Premier League season, resulting in a lack of match fitness at Anfield.

He made his debut on Wednesday with a 3-2 victory over Atletico Madrid. The 25-year-old continued for just under an hour in a thrilling Champions League victory for the Spanish club, leaving the pitch with a 2-1 lead over the Reds to regain the last minute winner from skipper Virgil Vandic with a 3-2 win.

Arne Slot’s team was talking about town after relying on a series of late goals to secure three points early in the title defense.

Isaac’s signature was part of the spending in Merseyside and was balanced with many exits, including Lewis Diaz, Darwin Nunez, Harvey Elliott, Ben Ganon Doak, Tyler Morton, Jarrell Kuanza and Kaoimhin Keleher.

Despite his chatter about financial investments at Anfield, Mac Allister has expressed his joy in bringing ISAK on board and believes he will hit the Reds.

“It was a big deal at first, but after a while, it was too long so I was a little tired,” Mac Allister shared with TNT Sports (via Liverpool Echo) and unearthed it in a long transfer process.

“But we all know he’s a player. He’s really, really important and I’m happy to have him here.”

Mac Allister admitted that Newcastle didn’t like how things were unfolding, saying, “The other clubs may not be happy, but that’s the way they play football and they paid quite a bit of money, so I think it’s good for both clubs.

“What he wanted is good for him. We know he is him and we’ve suffered from him several times, so we’re so happy to have him.”

Liverpool are looking to expand their lead at the summit on the Premier League title defense against Everton on Saturday (12:30pm) in the Merseyside Derby.

Alexis Mac Alistair has expressed his relief with one of his teammates, Alexander Isaac, after the Swedes punished Liverpool for a previous encounter.

Toffee wants to damage the Reds’ title charge after a perfect start to the season, winning each of the four opening matches.

However, it remains to be seen whether ISAK will make his Premier League debut on the slots side after the preseason breaks.
