When asked if the Swedes would start on Saturday, Slot replied.

“First of all, we need to see how they feel. Alex probably felt his body more than ever after 60 minutes he played, so let’s see how he recovered today. Then look at the lineup today and you’ll see tomorrow.”

Dutchman also confirmed that midfielder Curtis Jones is competing to feature after missing the final two games with an injury.

“I think all of them fit right now and I think we have 21 players to choose from,” Slot explained.

“That’s very normal (of numbers), right? It’s not too many.”

David Moys says Jarad Brantewight and Vitaly Mikorenko are making their own comebacks before their trip to Anfield.

However, the duo is questioning the game, and Moi has not made it clear whether the duo is fighting to feature.

He explained:

Eddie Howe has confirmed that Joa Wissa will not be available until after an international break as Newcastle prepares to face Bournemouth on Sunday.

“I have a few questions, but we haven’t had a session after Wednesday’s game so we can see afterwards.”

“In the last two games, he (Garnacho) came in and did something really good.

“We’re happy with how he adapts to our style and what he wants from our winger. If he’s ready to start tomorrow, I think he’s ready to start.”

Brighton was hit by one or more ways against Bournemouth last week, with both Jack Hinshelwood and Maxim de Kuiper being injured.

Fabian Hurzeler has confirmed that Hinshelwood will be out for a long time due to ankle ligament injuries, but De Cuyper’s situation is more hopeful and will be able to face Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.

“Unfortunately, he suffered two injuries in the match against Bournemouth. Jack (Hinshelwood) is out for a long time.

“He might be available for the game. It’s not a major injury, it’s just a hit and hopefully he’ll come back soon.

“Mats Wieffer is back and it’s an option. He’s available. It’s not perfect for Jack (Hinshelwood), but overall, we’re still in a good place.”
