Manchester United lost 3-0 at Etihad Stadium by Manchester City on Sunday, with many players not delivering again to Reuben Amorim
Manchester United defender Luke Shaw fired from Roy Keene following his performance in the team’s 3-0 loss to Manchester City at Etihad Stadium. Phil Foden scored his first Premier League goal since January, and used a cross from Jeremy Doc to keep Reuben Amorim’s side entangled.
Shaw was criticized for allowing Doc to easily bypass him before he provided assistance, but Bruno Fernandez also couldn’t stop Foden from misusing space and scoring. Keene, known for her nonsense analysis, declined to comment after the match on Sky Sports. He questioned the performance and fitness level of the show.
“United is throwing money. If these are great coaches, then you’re just a few of the decisions: ‘When are you going to coach these players to make these players better?’ That’s all just wrong,” the United legend said.

He continued: “Show is an international footballer because it’s the first goal. That’s what he catches. I think Shaw has been away from murder for years at United.
“We’ve made excuses and then he’s getting some games under his belt and he’s making the decision not to want to tackle people.”
During the halftime analysis, Keene criticized United’s defense of City’s opening goal.
“He has hundreds of games under his belt. He’s not positioning his body correctly. It’s like he throws a towel.
“We know people can get away behind Bruno. It’s been going on for years. But my goodness is, even before that, you have two midfielders – they’re too square. One takes them out. It’s too easy. The show throws a towel there.”
Since Amorim was appointed last November, United has accumulated an unprecedented minimum score on the Premier League side. Amorim said: “The performance wasn’t good, and at a key moment, they were better than us.
“I’m trying to be rational. I look at the record. I understand frustration, I understand the decisions that come with it. I’ll take the critic. That’s it.”
