Reuben Amorim’s team’s choice against Manchester United’s defeat to Manchester City leaves more questions than answers, with Owen Hargreaves questioning the absence of one player
Owen Hargreaves has condemned Reuben Amorim’s decision to keep academy product Cobbie Mineau away from the Manchester United team. The Red Devils fell to another Manchester Derby defeat on Sunday, with Manchester City taking a 3-0 victory at Etihad Stadium.
The loss led United to 14th in the Premier League with just four points from four games, confirming the worst start to the season since 1992/93. It also means that Amorim managed just eight wins from his first 31 league games in charge.
Shortly after his full-time whi at Etihad, questions were asked about Amorim’s future. And while Mineu struggles for a few minutes, he continues to raise his eyebrows as he uses Bruno Fernandez in the middle of the park.

Amorim has continued to use the Captain as a deep playmaker along with another central midfielder.
While many have called for Mainoo to start, the United boss claimed that England International is competing with Fernandez for one of the midfield spots.
Mainoo, who has yet to start a Premier League match this season, came in the 62nd minute and delivered an impressive cameo.
Former Unizado midfielder Hargreaves has revealed that he believes Amorim must find a way to fit Mine into his struggling team.
“Where do you start? There are a lot of questions,” Hargreaves told Premier League productions. “I never know how Kobbie Mainoo won’t play on this team.
“He came for that game and in 30 minutes he was probably their best player and a country mile, so he has to play. (Benjamin) Sesco isn’t ready.
“You looked at (Erling) Haaland, seeing the way he ran around and pushed him against him, he wasn’t fully active.
“(Bryan) Mbeumo is at the top, and (Matheus) Cunya is at the top. Bruno can no longer play as a middle defensive midfielder. He has to play as 10th place.
“With five changes, you have to play Mbeumo ahead of time, Cunha and Bruno in the No. 10s, Kobbie has to join the team. Fact.
“They had more ownership than the city today, but they didn’t look like a better team. Did they look like a lot of points? No?”
