Marcus Rashford helped Barcelona Slash Valencia 6-0 in La Liga on Sunday night just hours after Manchester United went through a difficult defeat to Manchester City
Marcus Rashford has delivered a five-word message after experiencing his best moment in the Barcelona shirt since his seasonal loan switch from Manchester United. The 27-year-old joined Barca over the summer, but suffered from a challenging start to life in Catalonia, failing to notch the finish line and assist him in three outings.
Nevertheless, Rashford stood up on the occasion on Sunday to provide a fantastic display during Valencia’s 6-0 thrashing in Barcelona. After Fermin Lopez gave Barca the lead, Rashford made up his team’s second goal, offering a sublime cross to former Leeds United forward Rafinha, converting it at a far post.
It was a birth where United supporters became accustomed to sightings from Rashford, who had shined against Valencia before being replaced in the 68th minute. He managed 46 touches, created three opportunities, tried two efforts, completed four ball recovery, scored one foul and achieved an 88% pass completion rate.

Following Barcelona’s contribution to emphasis on Valencia’s victory, Rashford, boasting 20.5 million followers, posted on Instagram to deal with fans of his new club and reported Manchester evening news.
Lopez and Rafinha both secured braces on Sunday night, with Robert Lewandski coming off the bench and scoring twice. “From the start, we showed what we wanted to do, that’s what we saw,” Barka manager Hansi Frick said after the Movistar match.
“Not only Fermin, everyone was fighting and having fun on the pitch.”
“The team is great in every position. Three points are perfect. For me, I have to choose between Ferran (Torres) and Lewandowski.”
Rashford’s success in Barcelona comes just hours after United caused another defeat to their Manchester City rival. Reuben Amorim’s difficult first ten months of responsibilities at Old Trafford continued, with Phil Foden opening up the score and Erling Haaland bagging the braces.
The 3-0 result means United are experiencing the worst start of the season in 33 years. Since arriving at Old Trafford, Amorim has been responsible for eight of eight of 31 Premier League matches.
Barcelona is next active when they travel to Newcastle United in the Champions League on Wednesday. Rashford hopes to continue his fantastic shape against the Magpie.
