Both Alexander Isaac and Joane Wissa were attacked this summer for forcing their respective moves to Liverpool and Newcastle, but Mark Guech was unable to seal his switch to Anfield despite continuing to play for Crystal Palace.
Former Newcastle star Michael Owen clashed with “two-faced” football fans due to his attitude towards players going on strike after Alexander Isaac and Joane Wissa forced a move to Liverpool and Brentford.
Both players fired fire from supporters and experts this summer after taking drastic steps to ensure the relocation. ISAK refused to join Newcastle on the Asian preseason tour and stayed from the first team to begin the season.
Eventually, Isak concluded the record £125 million switch to Liverpool on the deadline, but Wissa joined Newcastle as his replacement after similarly refusing to play for Brentford.
It launched a major premier league discussion about football players who employ uncomfortable tactics to seal their movements. Crystal Palace star Mark Guech still garnered praise professionally despite speculation that he would link him to Liverpool, but the deadline moves fell apart.
Owen, who played 79 times for Magpies, jumped at Isaac’s defense, understood his frustration without tolerating his actions and said, “The club you feel sorry for is probably the biggest assailant.”

“(Isaac) would say that’s the right thing,” he told Bet Select. “The purists out there will say you need to behave well all the time, and that depends on which side you take.
“But this is nothing new. This happens all the time. It’s a very popular transfer, so it’s only in the public eye. This probably happened 20 times this transfer window, but since it was happening in a small club, no one was interested.
“I’ve got it from all sides. I’ll definitely do it. I’ve seen it from both sides of my career, I’ll keep watching it as long as football exists, because that’s exactly what happens.
“I didn’t tolerate Isaac’s behavior. I was saying, let’s try and balance it a little here, because the club you feel so sorry for is probably the biggest assailant of all this.
Owen slammed “two faces” of a soccer fan for forcing him to move, but slammed one player who welcomed another player who did the same thing. He tore Liverpool fans to join Real Madrid when Isaac arrived, tore his participation in Trent Alexander Arnold.
“If the same thing is happening on the other side, when a player forces them to move out of the club, you can’t have a hectic fit,” he added. “Joane Wissa was doing the same thing. What do Newcastle fans do? They get mad at Isaac, but I think they’ll open their arms to Wissa.
“It’s the same as Liverpool. Trent Alexander Arnold went to the Bossman. The fans didn’t like the fact that there was no fee. But when the next bossman came, they were absolutely happy to welcome the disadvantage of losing others for free.
