Ricky Hutton dies at age 46
David Beckham has joined the sport’s global stars in honor of Ricky Hutton. It was announced Sunday that Hutton was found dead at his home in Greater Manchester.
Greater Manchester police said they did not treat the death as suspicious. A police spokesperson said: “The officers were called by a member of the public to attend Bowlcle Road, Hyde, Hyde, Tamseid, and found the body of a 46-year-old man at 6:45am today.
The devastating news comes months after the legendary boxer announced he had returned to boxing in a planned battle in December. And in honor of Hatton, Beckham posted two posts on his Instagram Story.

Former Hatton promoter Frank Warren described him as “modern great” worthy of his place in boxing history. For X, he writes:
“The stunning fighter, which inspired a generation of young boxers and fans, inspired him in a way he had few before, both because of his character and the entertainment he provided in the ring.
“After making Widness, which debuted in 1997, Ricky will fall right down as one of the most historic battles in British boxing history with Manchester’s Costia Ziu.”

Former Manchester United star Wayne Rooney shared her image with X’s Hutton, writing, “Devastated. Legends, Warriors, and Amazing. All Ricky’s family and thoughts.”
