Arne Slot admitted he can’t trust Milos Kerkez not to score the second yellow card in Liverpool’s victory at Burnley.
Kerkez was booked for a dive in the 22nd minute of the crash at Turf Moor in the act that former Reds defender Jamie Carrager labelled “silly” when commenting on Sky Sports.
Burnley then appeared to target Kerquez to Liverpool’s left, and slot responded by taking off Hungary in the 38th minute of the match and replacing it with Andy Robertson.
The Scots were moved at left back as the Reds drove off the 1-0 winner thanks to a stop time penalty from Mo Sara, who won the net from the scene when Hannibal Maebri handled Jeremy Fripon’s cross.

Describing the alternative, Slot told BBC Sports:
“In Milos, I can’t be 100%. He won’t make the next foul. And the fans are on the umpire. I thought the only way we can lose it today would be if we were to become 10 guys.”
Slot congratulated Burnley’s exhibit and admitted that the Reds were lucky enough to win. “I will tribute to Burnley in the way they defended. It’s difficult for us to find an opening and we’ve been nearby a few times,” he said.
“If they had won the game, they might have been open, but they didn’t do the same and they had to wait until the end phase of the second half.
“It could fall the way you want it to, but it was difficult because they had a player behind the ball. It required moments of luck and magic. There was no magic, but there was no luck.
“As long as he was in Liverpool, Mo Salah was a good thing for us. I think he missed the last two, so it was a great moment for us.”
