Daniel Levy resigned from his role as Tottenham president at 24 years of helm and Ange Postcoglo, when he was dismissed by the club earlier this year.
Ange Postecoglou admits that his time at Tottenham has minimal contact with Daniel Levy.
Levy took Australia to north London in the summer of 2023, continuing to finish fifth in his debut campaign after Harry Kane left for Bayern Munich a few days before the season began, and Postcoglo delivered the Europa League in his second year, defeating the club’s 17-year trophy drought under the stewardship of the chairman.
However, the choice of Spurs managers to focus on their European campaigns at the expense of Premier League form on a drained team did not sit well with the club’s hierarchy. As a result, Tottenham placed 17th in the league table among the Fielding Reserve teams.
Just weeks after Lily White’s first European silverware euphoria in 41 years, Post-Ecogul was fired by Thomas Frank and found himself successful.
Just three months later, Levy left after the Lewis family implemented plans to revamp the club’s organizational structure, and the 63-year-old has been on the sidelines after nearly 25 years in charge.

Postcoglo, who now manages Nottingham Forest, was asked about his thoughts on Levy’s exit from the club, according to football.
“I don’t think it’s kind of a forum for me to talk about it at length,” he said. “Again, I didn’t have much interaction with Daniel. I tend to continue my daily business and do what I need to do.
“He was there for a very long time. He invested a lot of hell in the football club in terms of building it to where it was.
“Obviously he appointed me, so I have to thank him for that. Hopefully I paid him back for winning a trophy they hadn’t had in a long time.”
Postecoglou also discussed his own exit from the Spurs and how he felt that his tenure in North London was coming to an end.
“It wasn’t great, I knew it was coming, so that wasn’t a surprise,” he said. “We knew there was a fair way to come before the finals, but we won it, we paraded and had a great three days.
“From my perspective, I had the opportunity to handle it, and other people make those decisions and make those decisions.
“What I know is that there were two years that were extremely challenging, but we were with some amazing people in the football department.”
The age of 60 lasted. “Supporters, we have had some tough times, but there are no Spurs supporters I have encountered.
“So I must have done the right thing. I think in the end that’s what we’re doing. I’m very proud of what we’ve achieved there. It’ll always take a special place in my heart.
“I don’t think much about it how it ended. To be fair, I did it myself a few times. I left the Celts, and I’m sure they were disappointed when I left.
