As Oliver Glasner sets the record straight, the truth from Mark Guech to Liverpool is revealed | Football | Sports

Oliver Glasner rejected the proposal that he threatened to step down as Crystal Palace manager if the club whipped Mark Guech to Liverpool. The Reds attacked a £305 million contract for England International. England International began receiving medical care, but only scrapped the deal on the deadline day after the Eagles were unable to secure a replacement.

Reports suggest that Glasner has publicly admitted that President Steve Parish would sell rather than sell an uncontracted defender at the end of the season, but threatened to play a pivotal role in the palace turn if his skipper was offloaded, and if his captain was offloaded, threatening to leave his position. However, the Austrian rejected any claims that made it clear what he had said to the parish that actually remained with the club.

“I think it’s the last time I want to talk about it,” he said Friday. “Fans of Crystal Palace, especially those deserve to hear how it really turned out. A lot of things have been written and communicated.

“Number one, I never threatened to leave the club. Never. And the second thing is what the chairman asked me after a lot of discussion.

“I said: “Steve, honestly, if you buy a great 19-year-old player who’s about 1,000 minutes in League One and sell the captain in the Premier League in around 15,000 minutes, I don’t think you’ll be able to manage it in the short term.

“I don’t think we can manage it in the short term. If you have three centre-backs on your schedule, I think it’s very dangerous if the back 3 is injured.

“If you need this scenario for Crystal Palace and that’s OK, then sell the Mark. If you don’t want to have this for Crystal Palace, you have to protect him,” and he decided to continue to praise him so much to the chairman.

“There was no bad tension between the chairman and myself, and it was just a discussion about sports.

“And he… a massive credit… he opposed money and decided for the future sport of Crystal Palace.

Glasner also praised Guech for his reaction after witnessing the switch to Liverpool collapse, revealing that he had an argument with the English star as he confirmed that he would continue as a palace skipper.

“The same great achievement as Mark for handling it very well,” he said. “So we spoke on the deadline day, the day after the deadline he was already in camp in England.

“And we were always talking very honest with him, just like before, and he arrived at that time and everyone could see how he played in England.

“It was written that he will step back as captain. As long as he is here he will not become our captain.

“So many noises, and finally, the truth is what I just said to you.

“And I think that’s something Crystal Palace fans deserve to know about. That’s how it is.”
