Tottenham boss Thomas Frank breaks silence at Daniel Levy’s bomb exit | Football | Sports

Thomas Frank expressed confidence in the backing he received from the influential Lewis family after the departure of Daniel Levy’s bombs. Levy’s sudden exit, who served as executive chairman for 24 years, was part of a restructuring that was launched by the Lewis family, who controls Ennik, the company that owns the North London Club.

Tottenham’s new power players are brothers Vivienne and Charles Lewis, children of former Spurs owner Joe Louis, along with Nick Beaucher, who is married to Vivienne’s daughter Joanna. Despite being surprised by Levy’s departure, Frank already feels support from owners who are expected to invest in the team to help them compete with their expensive rivals.

“I spoke with a few people from the Lewis family and the new non-executive chairman, Peter Charrington, so there was a good constructive conversation.

“I think it’s fair to say things have become so fast, so I’m sure I’ll realize more of my future plans in the coming months.

“Hopefully we’ll make them together. That’s the best way to do that. Everything I feel is positivity and support.”

Frank worked with Levy for three months before the longest serving chair in the Premier League departed, and CEO Vinay Venkatesham is currently overseeing his daily business in Tottenham.

“Daniel deserves massive praise and he has been here for 24 years,” Frank said. “What he built, the success that he was a massive part, you can’t praise it enough.

“He lays the foundation for the future in terms of an incredible world-class training center and a world-class stadium. These two are at the top level so we can build from there to compete with the best clubs in the future.”

The Spurs will kick off the post-Levy chapter in the London Derby against the London Derby and West Ham on Saturday evening.

Frank goes missing striker Dominique Solanke, who continues to be on the sidelines with ankle issues, but he becomes available to make a bow after new arrivals Xavi Simons and Randal Kolo Muani complete the slow transfer.

Mohamed Kudus will also return to London Stadium after returning to the bitter rival of the Hammers following a £55 million switchover beyond the capital.

West Ham also announced that they would ban half scarves from encounters, and Frank supports that stance.

“I think it’s a bit strange between two clubs that you might not like that much,” he said. “They probably don’t sell that much, so the person who came up with that idea is probably not the richest man in the world.”
