Reuben Amorim can choose between new signing Senne Lanmans and unconvincing Altai Bay Indeal for the Manchester Derby on Sunday.

As we look forward to Sunday’s Manchester Derby, both camps have a goalkeeping dilemma. Both Manknian clubs bring new shot stoppers at the transfer deadline, indicating the uncertainty shared between posts.

Manchester City signed Gianluigi Donnaruma after signing a £27 million deal with Paris Saint-Germain, who decided to cut losses when the Italians refused to agree to the new deal. At Manchester United, Senne Ranmen arrived for the first £18.2 million and potential add-ons £3.5 million and £3.5 million.

Pep Guardiola will almost certainly set up the 26-year-old Donnarumma as the new No. 1, but in the case of Ruben Amorim, he has made the decision. The 23-year-old Runmen will still prove everything and come to the Premier League, proving that he made his name in Royal Antwerp and moved the Red Devils Scouts.

United have decided to sign a new goalkeeper in light of Altai Bay Indeal’s volatile start to the season. That was after Amorim placed his faith in the Turkish International and made a bold call to drop Andreonana.

So, will Amorim Chuck ring the Ranman at the baptism of fire in Etihad? Is he sticking to buy-in deals? Or is veteran Tom Heaton even called?

We asked some of the mirror football writers to make their choice.

Reuben Amorim must start the Altai Bay Indeal at the Manchester Derby on Sunday. Throwing a new signature Senne Ranmen straight into the Derby heat for his Premier League debut is like gambling.

If Amorim chose Lammen on Sunday and the 23-year-old makes a costly mistake, the United boss will be criticized for not giving him time to settle down and adapt after a handful of training sessions with his new teammates. But the problem with Amorim is that Bay Indeal has been unconvincing this season and has committed a culprit for error against Arsenal and Burnley.

However, unlike Lammen, the 27-year-old will know what to expect from City, given his greater experience. Against the backdrop, Amorim will have to go with Bay Indeal on Sunday, despite Runmen being signed as United’s long-term future No. 1.

Ben’s

I was at Old Trafford for Andre Onana’s Premier League debut. It was clear how he was responsible from that night, and he avoided giving what was the most obvious penalty in history, but the dye was thrown.

Onana couldn’t shrug its reputation, and his confidence was quickly shot. Amorims will be desperate for anything that doesn’t happen to Ranmen, facing a fiery baptism against the city.

However, if the alternative is Bayindir, the United boss has no choice. If Lammens was a better choice than Emi Martinez, he needs to be ready soon.

Bayindir had no start for other Premier League teams. The Lammens should prove to be significantly better, but that will still be a nervous Sunday for debutants.

Which goalkeeper do you start? Please let us know what you’re saying in the comments section.

For those who play for Manchester United goals, it’s a sinking or swimming. Bayindir had already sunk and Heaton had his chance – so why not go to a new boy?

Bay Indeal is a disaster for United and hasn’t even started for Türkiye, so as far as I’m concerned he’s no go. Meanwhile, Senne Lammens is not supported by too many people.

Many critics argue that he is too inexperienced in the goalkeeping position he is most pressured in football around the world. However, they must be pretty confident in their purchase as United had just spent £18 million on him and chose to sign him on behalf of Emiliano Martinez.

Until we see Runmen acting against the best team, we don’t know how good Lamen is, so Reuben Amorim should throw him into the deep edge. Some of the best goalkeepers have begun to grow with uncertainty and confident (see you, David de Gere).

Certainly not worse than Andre Onana and Bayindil… can you do that?

Feric Skies

Manchester United are disrupting their own work in the goalkeeping division, and this weekend is far from ideal.

Pep Guardiola will have some complaints about throwing Genluigi Donnaruma into the firing line given the enormous experience of the big game, but the same cannot be said about Reuben Amorim and Senne Ranmens, who played in Belgium (he is not considered one of the three best “keepers” in the country.

Because Tom Heaton is out of the question, Altai Bayindeal will be the wisest choice in my mind. Türkiye International was not convincing at all, but at least he trained and played at United’s backline earlier.

His real weaknesses come from the set pieces, and at least in theory, that’s not one of Man City’s great strengths. For me, Bayindir nods by default due to the nature of the game and lack of time on the training ground after the deadline.

It’s easy for me. Senne Ranmen should be straight. Altai Bay Indeal has already scored plenty of points this season and if the Red Devils really believe that Runmen is a better buy than Emiliano Martinez, they should trust two weeks after his deadline move on a big stage like Etihad.

Bay Indeal felt like a strange shopping from United. He was not highly regarded by Fennelverse, and Eric Ten Hag was reluctant to play him regardless of the competition. He’s happy to see him in the FA Cup after putting together some great saves at Arsenal last season.
