The signature of Erik Ten Hag’s Man UTD ranked as Andre Onana will be the latest flop

Eric Ten Hag’s forwarding business at Manchester United has caused concern, and many of his most expensive purchases are already driven by Reuben Amorim

Eric Ten Hag might argue that he won the trophy in the unplanned Manchester United stint. He will do well to claim that he nailed his recruitment.

The Dutch were at the helm and were allowed to spend more than £600 million, but that didn’t make the Red Devils a force to fight the title again. Instead, after a promising first year, he and his signature only led the team backwards.

Reuben Amorim remained to inherit a team that includes many players who paid big fees and not paid large wages. The worst reflection on Ten Hag’s transfer business is that some of the people he bought for the club have already been cultivated.

Andre Onana is poised to become the next player allowed to leave despite being loaned. However, many of his teammates have already been seen as surplus in the requirements and are moving forward.

Ten Hag pushed hard for some signatures. The Dutch prepared to spend £81 million to sign the Brazilians when the marquee first arrived. Two years later, he already left with less than a third of his original fee.

Amorim has fired over £200 million at the forefront of the summer, adding more like Benjamin Sesko and Bryan Mbeumo. That’s already there despite the fact that last semester is already on a team that was one of the lowest scorers in the Premier League.

We look at and rank all 10 HAG permanent signatures. This draws a worrying picture due to United’s recruitment situation.

1. Lisandro Martinez

In his debut season, Argentina was able to prove many suspects wrong, especially with his height, which was cited as a major issue for him in the UK. Technically impressive, Martinez won the World Cup within months of his move from the Ajax. The injury took him consistent football, but when he was given a decent game run he looked like the most completed signature of recent years.

2. Renee Yoro

Partly he could go on to achieve, and despite some difficult moments, the central half of France seemed largely quite accomplished. He rose rapidly in his hometown at Lille and won plenty of praise. He has himself made the mainstay of the team, and at his age it appears as if he can bloom into an impressive defender.

3. Mattiz de Ligut

The fact that Juventus and Bayern Munich moved him was considered a red flag, and although the Dutch defender didn’t look like the player we saw in Ajax years ago, he began to settle. He, like Yoro, landed himself a regular starting spot this year, but perhaps this is just because of the failures of the people under him.

4. Mason Mount

If this was done before the start of the season, the former Chelsea guy would be much lower, but it appears he was given the opportunity to start the season in line with this Amorim system. Mount has previously excelled in a similar appearance system to Bruce, and his creative instincts could help him play a major role in the final third.

5. Noussair Mazraoui

Mazrawi is another player on the team who followed Deligt from Bayern and played under 10 hugs before taking him to Manchester. Morocco did little to be overly moved, but was given some tough missions, including being played as ten against Fenelverse. However, his relatively minimal fees mean he is a loss that the club can get mad.

6. Tyrell Malacia

A familiar story-like, Fullback joined early in the 10 hug era, and although he doesn’t illuminate it, he wasn’t too wrong. That’s largely due to a record of injuries he saw him spend more time on the sidelines than on the pitch. Malacia will only return the club to just over £14 million, and again, it can accept it if the signature doesn’t work.

7. Manuel Ugarte

The Uruguayans played under Amorim in the Sports Lisbon and looked like they might thrive once the Portuguese coach arrived, but that’s not the case. His statistics were impressive at PSG before he moved to United, but he couldn’t make the same impact. His offensive style did not support his ambitions, and he found himself on the bench rather than on the pitch to launch the campaign.

8. Arte Bay Indeal

He has started all three Premier League matches so far this season, but the Turks have made a major blunder that led to a loss in the opening weekend against Arsenal. Bay Indeal enjoyed his best moments when the Red Devils knocked out a gunner from the FA Cup last year, but he endured embarrassing moments, including being beaten directly from the corner. But for just £4.3 million, he had little hope of changing the world.

9. Joshua Zilky

On all accounts, Zirkzee was signed by former Chief Dan Ashworth, not 10 Hag. His spell in Manchester is probably best remembered for the wrong reasons – the Dutch became vulgar after 33 minutes in December, as his own fans cheered for his withdrawal. His promising season at Bologna saw United take notes, but he only manages three goals in the league and is not considered the answer in the final third.

10. Casemiro

Some point out that he has an immediate positive impact after joining from Real Madrid in 2022. Yes, he helped deliver the Carabao Cup, but his wages and long contracts will always be an issue. Casemiro’s performance has fallen off the cliff since his first year, and United simply can’t find a buyer. His pace has aged him, and United’s midfield only includes two midfielders, making him even more demanding.

11. Andre Onana

We are currently in the process of financing Trabzonspor. There he doubles his wages. The concerns around the Cameroonians were evident when he avoided a VAR check in his debut, when a penalty should have been given. His performances are consistently false and he hasn’t evolved United’s game as Ten Hag wanted when he moved to David De Gea to sign the previous Ajax goalkeeper. Amorim dropped him in the past – and now spends the year without him.

12. RasmusHojlund

Another signature was clear from the red flag in one minute. Yes, Hodzilund was impressed with Atalanta, but he was always at risk, spending £74 million to take him to Manchester. The signature was made with his acceptance of developing, but not. It took him months to score his first league goal, and at age 22, leading the United Line would always be a tough job. He’s already on loan.

13. Antony

I don’t think there’s much to explain about this. He remains the second most expensive United player in history, with few positive moments in the redshirt, except for his debut goal against Arsenal. He was always overwhelmed because you have to deliver for such money. He was impressed in Spain, so the environment was clearly not for him, but his position within the biggest flop of all time is probably justified.
