Chelsea striker Liam Dellup was given a timeline for recovery after suffering a hamstring injury before an international break, but the club announced another blow
Liam Delap aims to return to first-team football with Chelsea in time for the busy festive season after the club receives mixed news. Delap suffered a hamstring injury as he immediately drove the club into a 2-0 victory at Fulham on August 30th.
A £30 million summer signature made only Joao Pedro centre-forward, clutching his right hamstring on the eve of his transfer deadline. Winger Tirique George filled in the rest of the match, but Chelsea knew they needed a backup.
After initially requesting Nicholas Jackson be back before signing Bayern Munich, Bruce retreated and instead reminded him of Mark Giu from Sunderland. The 19-year-old striker could be entitled to Delap on the sidelines until at least November and be involved in the coming weeks.
Previously, England Under 21 International was thought to be “6-8 weeks,” but exercise reported a prognosis of 10 weeks. However, there is some good news and Delap does not require surgery for the injury. This means he should be able to return to training in November.

The 22-year-old could miss the start of Chelsea’s Champions League campaign and miss 10 Premier League matches. However, he should be available by the time December arrives, and the fixture schedule will increase even further.
Chelsea also announced that Dario Eschgo had undergone surgery for a thigh injury. The 20-year-old midfielder suffered an injury while playing in the sub-Portuguese 21s and is now setting a lasting spell on the bystander.
Dellup’s injury is undoubtedly a major blow to manager Enzo Maresca, who has made six appearances in the Club World Cup after arriving from Ipswich. He also starts two where Chelsea opens three Premier League matches, and his absence will put even greater responsibility on Pedro’s shoulder.
The 23-year-old, who was signed for £60 million from Brighton this summer, has two goals and two assists in three league games so far this season. He won 5-1 at West Ham, 2-0 at Fulham, and will be backed up by GUIU when he faces Brentford this weekend.
The Spanish striker is set to spend a season with the newly promoted Sunderland, scoring his first goal for the Black Cats when he was defeated by the town of Huddersfield in the Carabao Cup. GUIU, who joined Chelsea for £5 million from Barcelona last summer, made two more appearances in the Premier League as a replacement, but his stint in the Northeast was shortened just 26 days later.
He has scored six goals in 16 appearances for Chelsea so far, with Maresca’s team competing in the conference league last season.
