Liverpool will not sell Federico Chiesa to Besikutas.

Liverpool is determined to maintain Federico Chiesa and will not enjoy offers from clubs that can run the transfer business, Liverpool Echo reports.
Besiktas is linked to the Italians and the Turkish club can sign players until September 12th, but Liverpool is willing to lose his ex-Juventus before him despite omitting him from the UEFA Champions League team.
Echo adds: “The attackers missed Hong Kong and Japan’s preseason tour, addressing concerns about minor injuries and speculated further about the long-term future in late July.

“However, Chiesa has been featured in all three Reds Premier League matches so far, scoring a dramatic late goal with a 4-2 win over Bournemouth in the first game of the new term.

“The English Football player trading period closed at 7pm last Monday, but the Turkish club has recently been linked to Chiesa by players and Istanbul-based Besiktas until September 12th.

“Turkey’s super rig side reportedly held exploratory consultations with the Anfield Chiefs, who are over 27. However, Liverpool is determined to retain the 27-year-old.”

Strandlersen contract lecture held by wolves

The Wolverhampton Wanderers have begun negotiations with striker Jorgen Strandlersen on a new contract after the club refused to advance Newcastle United during the summer transfer period, Telegraph reports.

Newcastle was considering adding Strandlersen to the ranks, but was rejected by offers of £50 million and £55 million.

Telegraph adds:

“It is understood that wolves are unlikely to include release clauses in fresh terms. The wolves negotiated a £62.5 million clause with Massuseus Cunya earlier this year.

Onana Deal Scuppers Ortega City Exit

Manchester Evening News reports that Andre Onana’s expected loans could end the outlook for Manchester City goalkeeper Stephen Ortega.

Ortega also linked to Trabzonspor, but other options are no longer available to goalkeepers who were expected to leave after defeating the hierarchy in City.

The man adds: “The city paid £27 million to sign James Trafford from Burnley in July. Ortega left when City matched the 22-year-old Newcastle bid, plans for former academy youth to challenge Edason.

“However, Adason’s own exit to Fenerbafe led to signing Genluigi Donnaruma from Paris Saint-Germain for £26 million. Donnaruma and Trafford are currently competing for number one under Pep Guardiola.

“Ortega’s departure was complicated by the injury to third-choice Marcus Bettinelli, which meant the German was on the bench on the first day of his season with the Wolves, and was part of the team against Tottenham and Brighton, despite not being among the replacements.”

Stavely is still passionate about Spurs

The Amanda Stavely consortium is still interested in purchasing the Tottenham Hotspur, despite highlighting that the club’s current owner, Enic, is not on sale, I Paper reports.

Stavely’s PCP International Finance Limited and the rival consortium both took an approach after Spurs Chairman Daniel Levy left last week.

I’s paper adds:

“Stavely is an experienced dill maker and nearly four years ago used Middle Eastern finances to mediate the acquisition of Newcastle United by Saudi Arabia’s public investment fund.

“However, this predominantly US-backed consortium is made up of multiple investors and supported by UBS Investment Bank, but does not include money from the Gulf Coast and Qatar’s investments are irrelevant.

“There is a specific interest in purchasing the club from Qatar, but it is understood that they have not yet shown their hands.

“Sources said Stavely’s proposal could potentially be “ready to go,” but there remains significant uncertainty about what will happen next and whether Enic will be seen in the sale. ”
