Chelsea and their Champions League rivals all name their teams for the Champions League league phase, and the club was forced to make some tough decisions
Chelsea left many stars from the team for the Champions League. Raheem Sterling of Hayera is one of those who miss the cut, and signing Facundo Buonanotte on the deadline day is another prominent absentee.
Enzo Maresca’s blues competed in the Champions League after finishing fourth in the Premier League last season. They have since made many important additions to their ranks with Brazilian Wonderkid Estevao and former Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho arriving at £300 million in the summer.
Teams must provide an A-list for the contest and are permitted to update the team in the new year to bring January signatures. They are also permitted to have unlimited numbered OT B-list players born after January 1, 2004 and must have met eligibility criteria.
According to UEFA rules, Reaid said on the Chelsea website: “To qualify as Player List B, a squad member must be born after January 1, 2004 and is eligible to play for a total of three years, for a maximum of one year loan period from the association for 15th birthday, for two years or for a total of three years from the association for a maximum of one year or more.

It’s not just Maresca’s team that left a summer signed out of the European team. Mattis Tell, who has been permanently involved in Tottenham after a loan spell from Bayern Munich, has not made a cut.
Elsewhere, Arsenal has driven Gabriel Jesus out of their choice as the Brazilians are waiting for them to recover from an ACL injury. The Spurs have ruled out the injured star between ACL victims James Madison and Sweden’s Dejan Krucevsky.
