Fulham was denied his target in controversial circumstances before losing 2-0 against Chelsea.
Fulham defender Antony Robinson risked punishment from the Premier League by labeling the standard for “too long impact.” Robinson, 28, was part of the Fulham side who was furious after the opening goal against Chelsea on Saturday.
Fulham’s 18-year-old academy alumnus Josh King scored after assisting Rodrigo Muniz. However, following a long VAR check sent to the pitchside monitors by referee Robert Jones, the target was ruled out for a foul by Muniz in the build-up.
The cottage striker was determined to foul Chelsea defender Trevo Charova while he was on the ball. Video assistant judge Michael Salisbury advised Jones to consider the case and was awarded a foul.
Chelsea won 2-0 at Stamford Bridge, extending Pulham’s winless start to the Premier League season. On Sunday, PGMOL admitted that VAR should not intervene, and that afternoon removed Salisbury from Liverpool’s duties against Arsenal.
Robinson’s hit was in response to PGMOL’s approval. In an Instagram post, US international condemned the level of umpire and use of VARs on top British football flights.

“If they can check something for five minutes and still get wrong, what’s the point?” posted by Robinson. “The standard for hosting has been shocking at Prem for too long now.”
His boss, Marco Silva, was also not impressed by the decision. “It’s incredible how you don’t allow such goals,” Silva told TNT Sports. “We have a meeting with the referees and the people we all want to win. VAR is not here to re-reference the game.
“I’m going to be punished, so I hope I don’t say anything more. I want to be a touchline next week to help my team. I don’t want to be fined.

Fulham was also unhappy that Chelsea’s initial goal came in more than eight minutes of assigned injuries. “I want to explain a lot,” Silva continued. “The first goal – an extra 8 minutes. After the first corner, it was already nine minutes. It’s time to stop the game. That’s the rule.
“I asked the judge and he said because we lost time. But I checked for eight minutes. The game didn’t stop. It’s very difficult. I make a mistake, the judge makes a mistake, but when it’s black or white, we can’t see what’s not there.”
