Reports suggest that Manchester United could attempt to sell Captain Bruno Fernandez if it receives a bid of over £100 million. Fernandez refused the opportunity to join Alhiral on the pro league side of Saudi Arabia earlier this summer.

Al Giral was planning to pay Fernandez £700,000 a week. Nevertheless, another Saudi Arab League side approached Fernandez late this summer.

Al Ittihad is said to have positive discussions with Fernandez’s representatives about potential moves, and a new report from the Daily Mail claims that offers over £100 million could convince United to cash.

The report says Fernandez is not planning to leave this summer because he wants to avoid any dramatic changes before the 2026 World Cup, but it is pointed out that things could change if Al Ittihad makes him even bigger than Al Hilal.

The Saudi Arabian Pro League transfer window will close on September 10th, with Al Ittihad having the team affordable for a new signature, as it is tied to the departure of former Liverpool midfielder Fabinho.

Fernandez previously said he would be willing to leave Old Trafford if United wanted to sell him. Talking to Sky Sports about his decision to reject Al-Hilal earlier this month, Fernandez said: “I haven’t made my dream come true here yet.

“I still think I can give something to the club. I think I’m still in a position where I’m helping, so for me it’s that I’m here until the club decides, ‘Bruno, it’s time to go.’

“Obviously, since Cristiano (Ronaldo) was still there, it was a lot of money the club probably didn’t have, so he knows it was tough to decide that they were the last ones to get a lot of money for the players.

“I know it was tough for the club to make decisions, but on the other hand, I am the club captain, so I am important to them.

“But if things don’t go well, that’s a very good thing. If they sell me and get more players and more.

“The dream of coming to the Premier League and playing. For me, it’s the largest league in the world and I want to make my dream of staying here and winning more with the club. Obviously, I know people have different opinions.
