The deal includes the option of the gunner agreeing to a £45 million fee and purchasing if they want to permanently sign a player next summer, according to the BBC.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta welcomed the deal and called Hincapy a “big character.”
“The clown has a true physical presence, and his versatility and tactical flexibility give him a powerful additional defensive option,” Arteta said.
“He’s a big character and has a very good combination of both youth and maturity. He’ll make our team stronger and more competitive as we progress this season. We welcome Clown and his family to Arsenal.”

“His performance in recent years, both in the club and in the country, has been consistently high quality and I am confident that we will continue to grow this season and become an important player for us.”
Hincapy joined Leverkusen in August 2021, making 166 appearances in all the club’s tournaments, scoring seven goals in between.
He was also a key figure in the Leverkusen team, who won the Bundesliga title and the German Cup in the notable 2023/24 campaign under Xabi Alonso.
His exploits attracted the attention of Premier League clubs, reporting the Tottenham Hotspur target before Arsenal made a call.
Like Ebeki Eze before him, Hincapy has been trying to mastermind the first league victory for over 20 years, so he chose to move to the Emirates by joining the Spurs.

Hincapie has made his 46 appearances for Ecuador and made his debut at Copa America in 2021.
He played in all of Ecuador’s group games at the 2022 World Cup. This includes opening matches for the tournament with host Qatar.
Arsenal was branded in X as “the final piece of the puzzle.”
On the pitch, Arsenal broke their set on Sunday when they lost 1-0 at Champions Liverpool.
It continued with a league victory at Manchester United, 1-0 at Old Trafford, 5-0 at Leeds United and Etihad.
Hincapy joins Arsenal and heads for an international break.
