“Sansilver Football” – Joe Cole slams Val’s decision after being shocked by Josh King’s solo against Chelsea

Joe Cole called for Josh King’s goal against Chelsea to allow the act of disinfecting football.

Fulham’s 18-year-old had just scored his first Premier League goal at Stamford Bridge, but only had the opening game of the first half be ruled out by Var.

The goal was not granted after Rodrigo Muniz stepped out Trevo Charova’s foot in the accumulation of goals and the reviews were deemed to have been confused and angry with Fulham’s supporters.

TNT Sports Pundit Joe Cole was openly opposed with his opinion on the decision and criticised Var’s verdict.

“First of all, Chelsea are very fortunate. It’s not a goal, but for football, it’s not a foul. He has a body. Yes, it’s not a foul,” Cole said.

“To sanitize such football, 18-year-old Fulham ran away and scored his first goal in the Premier League, and they took it from him.”

Cole continues: “It’s not a tickling contest. I don’t like knit picking, he stands at Chalova’s ankles, and there is contact and you can understand the rules of the game. It’s not a careless challenge, but two professional soccer players challenged and got in touch with him a bit.

“I am glad that it’s not a goal from a Chelsea perspective, but when you’re cutting out the goal for that, I don’t like it in football.

“From Chaloba’s perspective, he has to try and get the ball on the middle line. He’s going to get on the ground and get in touch for a bit. He can’t influence the game.

“His actions are very intelligent in staying. He knows that Var sees it in slow motion and sees it in slow motion.

King scored calmly to put visitors first for the cottage, but their celebrations were shortened when referee Rob Jones was informed of a review of the foul before the goal.

Muniz turned while he owned it, and by chance stood at the foot of Chaloba.

After the review, Jones dominated the goal with a “careless challenge” despite Muniz owning the ball.

During halftime, Karen Kearney said:

“For me, that wasn’t a high threshold and this goal should have been standing. They’re denial of the 18-year-old moment in the Premier League. He was the best player on the pitch.”

In the game commentary, Darren Fletcher from TNT Sports was equally poignant.

“All he’s trying to do is turn and there’s no place for his feet to go away where it went. I have to say, I don’t want such a goal to be wiped out, I’m not really.

“When I start playing this game in slow motion, I have a problem.

“I have to say I don’t like it at all. I think a lot of Premier League managers would say, ‘I don’t want to see it as a decision.’ I don’t think that’s a good decision at all. ”

Alongside Fletcher, Lucy Ward said:

“When I see it in slow motion, it looks like a foul, I fully understand it. But Chelsea fans have to see it and think they’re lucky.

“I know Marco Silva is emotional, but I’ve never seen him smoke like that.”
