Nuno Espirito Santo is expected to take charge of Crystal Palace’s Nottingham Forest on Sunday, despite doubting his own future. The Portuguese head coach trained on Saturday morning, and the team voluntarily revealed that his relationship with owner Evangelos Marinakis has been broken.

However, Nuno’s comments on Friday suggested a dramatic change despite claiming he had no idea of the reason behind the change in communication. Nuno volunteered to say that what once was a “respectful relationship” between the pair was “not that good.”
He said: “I have always had a very good relationship with the owner, and last season was very, very, very, very close, almost every day.
