Manchester United appears to be locked up in a new goalkeeper signature after Royal Antwerp ruled out Senne Ranmen due to a Belgian professional league clash with Meheren
Turrett Target Sen Ranmens for Manchester United were removed from the team due to a clash with Royal Antwerp’s Mecheren as he approached his participation in the Red Devils. Reuben Amorim is keen to sign a new goalkeeper, and Lammens is set to offer Andre Onana’s competition.
Onana fired after joining United from Inter Milan in 2023 after making some high-profile errors, but there is a lack of real competition for his spot as No. 1. Backup goalkeeper Altai Bayindeal took responsibility for the winner of Ricardo Calfioli as Onana failed to make a team in United’s 1-0 loss to Arsenal last weekend.
As a result, United are about to sign Ranmen for £17.3 million, and appears to be very close after Antwerp chose him against Meschellen. Yannick Thoelen was instead given the first start of the season, with new signature Taishi Brandon Nozawa making the bench.
Lammens had expected the arrival to arrive, but Amorim would leave four options between the sticks, but he insisted that the new signature did not mean that either Onana or Bay Indil would leave. “It’s not the idea of ’These players are going to leave, and then we’ll receive another player,'” he said.
“We don’t know what will happen, but we’re not waiting to bring someone out to take the other players, one of them is not responsible for the other.

“The player you’re talking to is not the player you’re training with the group at this moment. There’s group training and it doesn’t affect a lot.”
United have already strengthened their team this summer with signatures from Benjamin Sesco, Brian Mbemo, Mash Cunya and Diego Leon, and Amorim believes the Red Devils are far better than last season.
When asked if his team was tougher, Amorim replied.
“Again, we were building up sometimes against Arsenal, but we had to kick the ball and you could see the response of the players in the second ball (due).
“I remember at least twice on the corner. One time (Martin) Odegard is running on the ball, and he can see the players and sprint through full power. Even Casemiro is at a different pace.
