Manchester United will travel to Brandel Park earlier than tonight to visit the town of League 2 Side Grimsby. Reuben Amorim has already put pressure on him after two disappointing results at the dawn of his first full campaign and cannot afford a massive killing on the East Coast.
So, with the importance of cup competitions in a season that doesn’t have European football in mind, United will be stronger than expected against the 4th tier opposition. Express Sport will run the first lineup of Amorim’s two important must-see fixtures this week.
Man Utd predicted Xi vs Grimsby Town (3-4-3)
Goalkeeper – Onana
It appears Andre Onana has been demoted to Cup goalkeeper after being removed from United’s two Premier League fixtures. If he does not have any features either, he will need to submit a transfer request at night.
Defense – Fredrixon, Maguire, Heaven
Amorim’s back three picks itself based on the defenders he’s named on the league bench so far.
Harry Maguire’s first start to the season will bring Mattigis de Liguto to life before Burnley visited Old Trafford on Saturday.
Tyler Fredrickson is actually younger than the academy alumni, but should come for Renee Yolo, who established himself as one of the names of Amorim’s team sheets.
Also, Aiden Heaven begins in place of Luke Shaw, who enjoys his best, injury-free running in recent memory. United need to keep it that way.

Midfield – Amado, Ugarte, Mine, Darot
Amado’s early alternative in Sunday’s 1-1 draw against Fulham may have kept a trip to Grimsby in mind. He hasn’t clicked as a right-wing back yet.
On the left, Diego Leon was able to come for his first start in British football. However, Diogo Dalot appears to be more likely than 18-year-old Paraguayan, who hasn’t yet made a match-day team.
Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes could possibly come out in a straight swap between Manuel Ugarte and Kobbie Mainoo.
So far, the lack of involvement of the latter is the fact that the term produces enough noise, so the spotlight is on him at Blundell Park.

Attack – Zirkzee, Cunha, Sesko
Joshua Jilk missed most of the preseason due to an injury and was an unused replacement for the two openers at United. The start is on the cards, but he doesn’t play the full game.
Matheus Cunha has not yet opened an account since joining from the Wolf, but he has turned to early performances.
Amorim hopes he will get off the mark earlier than he is late and can rely on Brazilian leadership and power.
Benjamin Sesco is lining up his first start as a United player, following two alternative cameos against Arsenal and Fulham. He receives a warm welcome…
