Crystal Palace has been in need of a new signature after authorizing Ebebeki Eze’s departure for Arsenal, aiming to a new England star already known at Selhurst Park
Crystal Palace is pondering its ambitious attempt to bring Conor Gallagher back to Selhurst Park, but Atletico Madrid believes rival interest in the midfielder is growing elsewhere in the Premier League.
The 25-year-old Gallagher was a huge hit in South London in a loan spell with the Palace, returning to the 2021-22 campaign, and later established himself as a key player for his then-parent club, Chelsea. However, the English star is spoofing his trade in La Liga after the Blues was controversially sold last summer.
He signed a five-year contract with Atletico, making 50 appearances last season, but only started 13 times in La Liga. However, the news that he could return to England for the midfielder of all actions remains somewhat shocking.
Crystal Palace is actually keen on the idea of re-signing Gallagher, but other English clubs report interest in Chelsea Academy alumni.

It is also noted that Atletico prefers permanent moves over loans when pursuing a switch to Gallagher to pursue a green light before the closing window closes on September 1st.
The palace needs reinforcements for the next seven days after selling Talisman Ebeki Eze to Arsenal over the weekend. The 27-year-old attacking midfielder will record a fee of £67.5 million for the club despite interest from the Gunners’ north London rival Tottenham.
The Sun claims that Club Bruges winger Christos Zaris is one of the names of the palace’s radars. They are also believed to be interested in Leicester’s Bilal El Cannaz, who has linked to many clubs since Fox dropped out of the Premier League last season.
Unfortunately for Crystal Palace, Eze may not be the only famous departure before it closes next Monday. Mark Guech is also attracting interest, and Liverpool remains enthusiastic about the 25-year-old, who is in the final year of his contract.
The Eagles risk losing their game next summer.
