The goalkeeper coach of Nottingham Forest was enthusiastic about celebrating his team’s opening goal on Sunday, smashing his head in a dugout and needed stitching
The goalkeeper coach at Nottingham Forest became eager to celebrate, slapping his head and stitching before requiring a doctor’s appointment.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side began the season in ideal fashion as they saw Brentford on Sunday at City Ground. Last season’s top goalscorer Chris Wood maintained his scoring habit and took just five minutes to find an opener.
However, director Rui Barbosa was clearly very excited and slammed the head on the top of the dugout as he celebrated. As a result, he later admitted that he felt dizzy and needed six stitches to get injured.
He said: “He has six stitches! It was awkward. It was bad. He was dizzy.”
Forest rose 3-0 at halftime, but everything concluded the game. Wood grabbed another in the first half of the suspension, and Dan N Doy took part in the act as he was trying to prove that last year’s success was not one.

Nuno said: “I’m pleased. The way we started the game was amazing. We played well.
Another huge plus for the Forest was the confirmation of two new signatures on display on the city ground before kickoff. Omali Hutchinson joined from Ipswichtown as the club finally hit a deal with the winger after several offers were rejected. Manchester City playmaker James McAtee also joined, but both men were too late to play in Sunday’s opening game.
Forest played in Europe this year, taking over in the Europa League after the end of Crystal Palace mise, and Nuno wanted to land a newer face. Ndoye was one of them, and the Nottingham boss praised how he performed in his debut.
He said: “Today, we couldn’t ask anymore, the city ground was bouncing loudly. It was a beautiful day for us. Dan (ndoye) stuck to his defensive work, but he’s always talented and honestly, I think he’ll give more.”
