Arsenal was able to aim to sign Bayer Leverkusen defender Piero Hincapie before the transfer window closes with a move that allowed Jakub Kiwior to leave the club, Telegraph reports.
Hincapie has a £52 million release clause in its contract. Arsenal is exploring the possibility of fulfilling its obligation to purchase next summer and signing players.
“Arsenal has already spent more than £200 million in this transfer market and is currently working on many exits, including Fábio Vieira, Reiss Nelson and Oleksandr Zinchenko.
“Porto has expressed interest in Kiwior and could be able to leave if it helps Arsenal push through a contract to sign Hincapy.
“Ecuador International also linked to Tottenham Hotspur, but Arsenal’s London rivals are pursuing other targets, but Chelsea claims they are not in the central defender’s market.”
From Gallagher to the palace?
Crystal Palace is one of the Premier League clubs interested in signing Atletico Madrid’s Conor Gallagher, and the Sun reports, and the Eagles are considering spending time with Ebe Bekieze after selling to Arsenal before closing the windows.
Gallagher is said to be open to moving to the palace that was rented out between 2021 and 22.
“Gallager made 50 appearances in all Atletico tournaments last season, scoring four goals and six assists.
“However, he is limited to just 67 minutes opening two games this semester on the LA La Liga side.
“Atletico is still believed to rely on Gallagher this season and could be persuaded to let him go if a big offer arrives.”
Newcastle won’t give up on Strandlersen
Newcastle United will resume pursuit of Jorgen Strand Larsen, despite the wolves rejecting a £50 million bid for the striker, I Paper reports.
With Alexander Isaac’s future still unknown, Newcastle’s pursuit of Strand Larsen is to replace Callum Wilson, whose contract expired in the summer before moving to West Ham.
“It’s not clear whether that’s the end of the matter or not. Magpies are desperate to strengthen their strikers and appear to have switched attention from Yoan Wissa after Brentford rejected his second formal offer last week.
“They keep watching Wissa, but the bees don’t want to sell strikers and weaken their team without pre-made exchanges.
Bournemouth, near disaster loans
Bournemouth is signing Chelsea defender Axel Disaj as Cherry continues to rebuild their defense, the Guardian reports. Bournemouth won nearly £145 million this summer on sales by Illa Zabarini, Dean Huizen and Milos Kerkez.
And now Bournemouth is about to lend out the 27-year-old disaster.
“Chelsea also agreed to Carney Chukhuemeka and Aaron Anselmino join Borussia Dortmund. They will continue their push to clean up the Fringe players. Chukhuemeka loaned it to Dortmund last February.
