Leeds United was featured in season opening Sky Sports Monday Night Football and featured on Erndo Road at Daniel Fark’s newly promoted side face Everton.
Gary Neville was left blushed after being caught up in an on-air blunder during a new season of Monday night football.
The former Manchester United and the UK defender were lined up for Sky Sports with Jamie Carrager and presenter David Jones lined up for Sky Sports for the new campaign’s Monday night match.
Minutes before kickoff, Skye was waiting for both sides to enter the arena from the tunnel area, so Neville wasn’t aware that the show had returned from the ad break. And the former Red Devils captain showed that there was no love lost about his longtime rival.
With Leeds fans painted on screen, Neville got caught up in Sky Sports as he was excitedly hoping before returning to Top Flight in two years. “They (Leeds) are a group of fans that I don’t want to be close to.”
At that moment, Jones was seen grabbing his arm, and Neville seemed to realize he was on air, laughing and saying, “Did you hear me?”

Just as Jones was in the middle of an apology, Neville officially repeated the controversial line.
Neville’s target for Leeds is nothing new. He’s new, despite the belief that the atmosphere is one of the more difficult places for players to play. He has previously admitted.
“I don’t feel anything bad about the players who did it, but personally, I couldn’t do it. There’s too much rivalry.”
On the pitch, Leeds ran out of 1-0 winner against David Moyes’ Toffee, and Lucas Nmeka scored a penalty late after James Tarkowski was determined to have been processed within the penalty area. The former Wolfsburg striker was on the pitch in under 10 minutes, but his spot kick was calmly digging into the corner of the net.
