Arsenal’s first home Premier League match of the season was damaged by injuries to Buka Yosaka and Martin Odegard.

Saka left the field very slowly after falling onto the grass in the second half. He appeared to be showing problems with his left hamstring while undergoing treatment from Arsenal physics before taking over Leandro Torosade.

Odegard also had to get out towards the end of the first half due to a shoulder injury. Despite the troublesome fall, the Gunner captain tried to continue, but was eventually replaced by Ethan Nwaneri.

Arsenal was leading 3-0 when Saka finished the match. The England star was contributing to the scoreline with an accurate strike between Julientimber and Victor Gyoker’s goals. Shortly after Saka left, Timber scored the second goal of the match, extending Arsenal’s advantage to 4-0.

However, news of Odegaard and Saka’s injuries is a major blow ahead of their trip to Anfield to face title rival Liverpool next Sunday. Announced to Emirates fans before the game, Ebebeki Eze could potentially make it straight into Merseyside’s starting lineup.
