Arsenal rubbed salt with the wounds of Tottenham Hotspur after completing the hijacking of Crystal Palace attacker Ebeki Eze. The Gunners announced Eze’s arrival and announced him to the crowds at Emirates Stadium ahead of Saturday’s clash with Premier League Leeds United.
The Spurs had undergone high consultation with the Palace for the age of 27 before Kai Herberts’ injury involved his North London rival in action. Eze makes a sudden U-turn and is currently joining Arsenal as well as £7.5 million in trade with its first £60 million and add-ons, boosting the Mikel Arteta’s firepower.
Arsenal gave a cheeky dig with the Spurs in the announcement video, saying, “It was Arsenal alone. Our new number 10 – Welcome home, Evere.”
Arteta exacerbated the blow with comments on the club’s website, honoring Eze’s preference for joining his team in place of an alternative suitor.
“I’m so happy to have Ebeki brought to Arsenal. He’s a powerful and exciting player who gives us a new dimension in the offensive game,” the Spanish coach said.
“What stands out as much as his talent and intelligence as a player is the way he worked so hard throughout his career to get where he is today.

Eze was able to make Arsenal’s debut on a blockbuster trip to Anfield next weekend to face Premier League title rival Liverpool before an international break in September.
Tottenham’s backup plan has also been rejected this summer by Nottingham Forest midfielder Morgan Gibbswhite.
