Arsenal thrashed Leeds 5-0 at Emirates Stadium on Saturday evening, with Tottenham climbing in the evening at the Premier League summit. Gunner played opponents from the pitch from start to finish, so he took an essential shape in front of his fans.
Mikel Arteta’s side was frustrated early in the match, but eventually made it 11 minutes before halftime as Julian Timber headed for Declan Rice Corner. Bukayosaka then doubled his advantage on his side at the end of the first half, signing Summer Victor Gyoker to score his first Premier League goal shortly after a break. Timber stabbed the second goal in the second 11th minute evening, with the North London Giants finally adding Gyoker to his second and fifth of his team from a death penalty spot. Arsenal Player Rating (4-3-3)
David Raya: 8
It worked well to lock out the Pascal Struijk headers midway through the first half. Aside from that stop, it was an easy night for him.
Julien material: 9
Ben White was eliminated from injury and reverted to the starting lineup, dominating the enemy with the right wing when he linked with Ska. Heading from the corner of Rice, we added a second from another corner as the gunner continued to dominate from the set piece.
William Saliba: 8
When Arsenal had a corner and seemed certain on the other end of the pitch, he absolutely annoyed himself with the six-yard box.
Gabriel: 7
He was solid when he won the tackle and blocked the shot. Although it was a major goalscoring threat from Arsenal’s set pieces last season, Timber may have stole lightning.
Riccardo calafiori: 8
He tried to join the Arsenal attack, so he pushed forward and went inside. A license to move forward is clearly given, and Miles Lewis Skelly may have a hard time securing his place.
Martin Odegaard: 6
He tried to move his team in the right direction early on, but rather than looking for a killer pass, he often sought a safe option. I tried to continue after an arm injury, but was eventually kicked out just before the break.
Martin Zubimendi: 9
It was full of energy and elegance as he ran around the pitch and cleared up what he had cleaned up in the middle of the park. Read the game carefully and have a big impact this season.
Declan Rice: 9
It has one of the best deliveries in the Premier League and is whipped in the Arsenal two set-piece goal corner. It has a presence in Gunners Midfield and is key to the title challenge.
Bukayosaka: 8
He attacked freely and drew his class in stop time as he defeated Lucas Peri from a close angle, following the flow movement from the gunner. However, as his side was moving into the early stages of the second half, he was also kicked out of injuries.
Noni Maduke: 8
When he started right away, he did some early runs and whipped on the cross. When he was given the opportunity, he appeared to be threatening with an attack as he ran in the defence of Leeds.
Viktor Gyokeres: 8
After an overwhelming display with Manchester United last weekend, Arsenal provided physical presence in advance. It took him a while for him to enter the game, but he set his life on fire early in the second half after working some space to fire at the first goal of the season. At the end of the match, he hugged his nerves from 12 yards to stop time.
Alternatives
Ethan Nwaneri: 6
We came to trade Odegaard, but it was relatively quiet as some of his other teammates hugged the headline.
Leandro Trossard: 7
It was introduced in place of Saka, but there was no same offensive threat.
Max Dowman: 8
He was handed over Arsenal’s first team debut at age 15 and 235 days. At one stage it exploded into the Leeds penalty area, flashing out effort at the goal. He scored an Arsenal penalty at the end of the match at the end of the match and clearly has a big future in the game.
Miles Lewis Skelly: 6
It was exhausted midway through the second half, but now it can be frustrating as I failed my last departure at Old Trafford.
Christian Mosquera: 6
Dowman and Lewis Skelly introduced the action and were brought for the wood as they were slotted into the well.
