The future of Gianluigi Don Narma continues to balance Manchester City among clubs interested in bringing the star of Paris Saint-Germain to the UK
Manchester City discussed Genregi Donnaruma’s move with Paris Saint-Germain. Italian goalkeeper Donnaruma will be turned over to leave Paris this summer after Lucas Chevalier arrives.
The city has already signed one goalkeeper this summer, with James Trafford rejoining the club after a spell at Burnley. While Stephen Ortega is expected to leave Etihad Stadium, last season’s first choice Aedason was also able to make way for Donnaruma’s dive.
Ederson was removed from the city’s team for the Premier League opener held in the Wolves on Saturday, with Trafford starting and Ortega on the bench. Guardiola said the Brazilian missed out due to illness, but reports of Galatasaray’s switch are gathering pace.
According to Soccer Italy, there is still more to do at Donnaruma’s fees. The city is said to not want the PSG asking price to be around £40 million, but the prospect of a high pay for guardians from the bill could convince French clubs to lower their demands.
Similarly, the city is believed to be at odds with Galatasaray when it comes to valuing Aedason. The Turkish side is valuing the Brazilian under £10 million, but the Premier League side has given out more despite him being in the final year of his contract.

Donnarumma has been with PSG since 2021, joining freely from AC Milan and assisting the League 1 champions in the Champions League last season. However, he had been ruled out from the recent Super Cup team, but manager Luis Enrique explained the situation.
“I can only say good things about Gigio Donnarumma,” my boss told reporters. “He’s definitely one of the best players in his position and he’s even better as a person, but we were looking for another profile of the goalkeeper.”
Guardiola refused to answer when asked on Saturday if Adason played the club’s final game. Instead, he tried to focus on Trafford’s performance after the 22-year-old made his long-awaited debut with the club.
“I’m very happy with James, because of the fact that he’s an academy player and he’s a city fan and made his Premier League debut here.” “He’s playing really well and I’m really happy. I like the young players from the academy can play for Man City. That’s really, really good.”
If Galatasaray ends up signing Ederson, he will see him reuniting with former City winger Leroy Sane. German International Sein took part in a free transfer from Bayern Munich at the beginning of the summer.
