There are rumours that Arsenal has plummeted at the last minute, with Newcastle’s volatile striker Alexander Isaac being completely denied by the club from under Liverpool’s nose. The gunner has previously expressed interest in Isaac, who is reportedly unhappy with St. James Park. The 26-year-old has recently been a target for bids from Liverpool, with both the player and the Premier League champion hoping he will lead their improved offense.

Newcastle is reluctant to move the star forward, so it is unclear whether an agreement will be reached before the transfer window closes on September 1st.

An independent report reports that such chatter has become popular among “high-ranking officials” at the PFA Awards earlier this week. However, the publication also said Arsenal quickly dismissed these rumors and said there was no chance of a move.

They have since finalised a contract with Crystal Palace to sign Ebebeki Eze. As the final days of the summer transfer period approach, Isaac’s future remains uncertain. In a statement, Isak accused Newcastle of “breaking its promise” and said its relationship with the club “cannot continue.”

Last weekend, Newcastle’s Premier League opener lacked a forward and will be missing again on Monday as Magpies face Liverpool at St. James Park. At a press conference Friday, Eddie Howe acknowledged that the ongoing conflict between Isaac and the club was a “loss situation.”

“It’s a sad moment, and it’s not very well reflected on us or Alex that these things are public.

He also confessed his uncertainty about how the saga will end, saying, “I’m not a fortune teller. There’s no way to know what will happen in the next few days. But he’s contracted us, he’s our player.”
