Kai Herberts came out of the bench in Arsenal’s opening day victory at Manchester United, but is now ready for a bystander spell with gunners poised to return to the transfer market
Kai Havertz is set to not take action for Arsenal after a fresh injury. Havertz spent a long time last season on the sidelines with a serious hamstring injury.
He has since recovered and appeared in his thin weekend victory over Manchester United. However, Havertz is currently facing another absence.
According to Athletic, the Germans took up knee issues and did not attend an open training session held at Emirates Stadium on Wednesday. The assessment is reportedly in the early stages, and it is unclear how long Havertz will be able to go out.
His absence, as well as the misery of Gabriel Jesus’ current injuries, means that Summer Signature Victor Gyoker is the only fit striker at the club. He endured a quiet debut at Old Trafford on Sunday.
With the latest batting, Arsenal has launched an emergency transfer plan. The gunners are keen to add another forward to strengthen their offensive ranks as they try to ultimately land a Premier League title.

Gyokeres, a £64 million signature from the sport, was overwhelmed by his competitive Gunners debut, and Arteta admits there is room for improvement when it comes to pressing head on.
He said: “Well, he did something very good. Especially with our high press and rhythm, you can see what we demanded, especially in the first half that we gave us a little time.
They are linked with Real Madrid star Rodrigo, who was removed from Real Madrid’s Laliga Opener vs. Osasuna. Xabi Alonso moved to blast these rumors, claiming that his omission was purely tactical.
Speaking about his future, real boss Alonso said: “These are match decisions. We needed a different profile to proceed. There were no future decisions.
“Nothing has happened. The Club World Cup was a different context for the competition. Today, it’s just one game and you can leave the rest.

“This season is important. Of course, I rely on Rodrigo. It’s just one game. You shouldn’t read it all the way to the future.
“If he gets those few minutes in three months, I can answer you more reliably. Today, that was the situation in the game and my decision.”
Arsenal was also linked to Crystal Palace star Ebeki Eze this summer, but he appears to be instead trapped in a move to North London rival Tottenham.
Arteta is currently preparing his team for his first Premier League home game of the season. After beating United, the North London side welcomes newly promoted Leeds to Emirates Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
