It appears Nicholas Jackson will be leaving Chelsea this summer amid interest from Newcastle and Aston Villa and Blues boss Enzo Maresca.
Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca admits that Nicholas Jackson will be “happier” if he leaves the club this summer. Jackson is heavily linked to travelling away from Stamford Bridge, defeating the pecking order.
Chelsea have already signed two new strikers, bringing Joanne Pedro from Brighton for £55 million and Liam Dellup from Ipswich for £30 million. The Bruce is ready to sell Jackson for around £60 million, with Newcastle, Aston Villa, Manchester United and Arsenal all linking with the forwards.
United and Arsenal have already signed Benjamin Sesco and Victor Gyoker respectively, but Newcastle and Villa remain potential destinations, with Maresca offering updates on Jackson’s future.
When asked about Jackson before his Chelsea’s West Ham trip, Maresca said: “He (Jackson) is available, but he won’t be part of the team. As I’ve already said, there are two strikers, so there are two players in that position, so I know something can happen before the transfer window closes.
“Christo (Nkunku) is with us like Nico. But that’s the same answer. The other two players (Ben Chilwell and Raheem Sterling) are waiting for a solution. Whether they’re here or not, they’ll be with us.

“If they’re not here, that means they’ve found a solution. Finally, I think it’s always good if they can find a solution because I think they’ll be happier and the club will be the same.”
Maresca was quized about Wesley Fofana’s future after the defender deleted all Chelsea-related posts on his Instagram account. However, Maresca claims that the 24-year-old is “very happy” at Chelsea.
“I spoke to WES yesterday,” Maresca said. “He’s very happy. First of all, he’s returned from his injury. He’s been in every session with us. He’s very happy.
“He was on the bench against the palace. Starting tomorrow, he will be with us, and he will get a few minutes. He is happy and happy. On Instagram, I have no idea.
“Like I said in this moment, Wes is happy. There’s nothing to add to it. If there’s abuse on Instagram, it’s never good for people in the world. But it’s something we can’t control.”
