Manchester United legend Gary Neville has stuck to the views of Leeds United supporters following the failure of Sky Sports. The camera was placed on Elland Road Monday evening for Whites’ return to the Premier League, which Everton faced.
Neville and Liverpool icon Jamie Carrager were assigned to analyze weekend games, and also looked into Daniel Fark’s team ahead of Daniel Fark’s top opener. Nevertheless, after miscalculating the duration of the ad break, the critic found himself blushing, and the program returned unexpectedly early.
The footage shows a close-up of a group of Leeds supporters before the match, unknown to Neville, but the camera is broadcast live, saying, “It’s one group of fans that I don’t want to get close to.”
Presenting Dave Jones tried to warn his co-presenters that they were airing, but that could not prevent the panel from laughing at the disaster. He intervened: “I have to apologize.”
Neville showed no fear of inducing more supporters in Leeds when he strengthened his stance, adding “one group of fans that I wouldn’t be near.”
Before Jones said, “I don’t think they want you close to you, that’s fine. They’re looking forward to this.”
Leeds got off to an impressive start against Everton, with Toffee being virtually without a chance in the first half. The hosts dominated corner statistics and put Jordan Pickford’s goal under pressure, but rarely tested English stoppers.
They continued to secure a narrow victory with debutant Lukas Nmeka, who scored from a penalty spot after Everton defender James Tarkowski was considered to have handled the ball.
