Viktor Gyoker failed to immediately influence the Prmier League against the Manchester United side, who had been connected to him, before opting to join Arsenal in a £64 million deal
Arsenal began the season with a victory over Manchester United, but it wasn’t the easiest debut of his Premier League debut for Victor Gyoker. Swedish Strickle scored fun goals in the Championship and Primila Liga, prompting a £64 million move to Arsenal, but drew a gap on the Gunners’ first league outing.
United also linked to the Scandinavians who played under Portugal’s Reuben Amorim. However, he ended in North London, and the Red Devils turned their attention to Benjamin Sesco, arriving in August.
“What (Mikel) Arteta did with Gyoker,” asked one fan after the new striker failed to register a shot on the pitch at Old Trafford. “There’s a reason (Brighton owner) Tony Bloom will have Gjoker set out for over £1 million,” another said.

“Arsenal really dug. They showed a lot of resilience,” former United captain Gary Neville said during a Sky Sports report. “We know how good they are defensively. The goalkeepers made really good saves and the back four got better as the game progressed.
“Arsenal has never been at its best, but coming to Manchester is always tough, whether it’s Old Trafford or on the ground in Man City. Getting three points is a big deal for Mikel Arteta.”
“We weren’t on the best day at the ball. Defensively, we weren’t at our best, so it was a tough battle,” Arsenal keeper David Raya admitted. “We achieved our goal in the corner in the first half and we just fought from there to the end.
“I praise the boys for getting a clean sheet. I know I was able to lose the game, but football is like this. Three points are important on days like this.
