Newcastle United endures annoying preseason on and off the pitch, and with Alexander Isaac’s future still in the air, Magpie icon Alan Shearer made his statement in his latest remarks
Alan Shearer called on Newcastle United to quickly resolve the ongoing uncertainty surrounding Alexander Isaac following the “Disaster” preseason. Liverpool and Isaac are given a tough ultimate from Newcastle. Without a higher bid for the forward, there will be no switch to Anfield.
Magpies declined a £110m offer from Liverpool. Liverpool refrains from submitting a second proposal while monitoring the situation for Isaac and the club. Currently, the striker is training away from his teammates at Darsley Park.
Newcastle boss Eddie Howe has already shown that he is likely not involved in the Premier League opening match against Aston Villa at lunch on Saturday. After a nasty preseason, Shearer begged the club to quickly decide on Isaac’s future.

“It was a disaster for them. I really have it. I thought it should have been time for Newcastle to kick after he entered the Champions League and won the trophy.
“I thought it was time to go out and take three or four big players, so I thought it would happen, and I said about the CEO and the sports director.
“They need to sort out the situation as quickly as possible in Isaac. I think he’ll stay until someone has in. Maybe Eddie can talk to him.
“They just have to put in some players. They needed forward anyway, so now they need two centre forwards.”
Newcastle is understood to be refraining from a larger bid for Liverpool. Initially, £150 million appeared to be a sum of convincing the magpie to let go of the front of the original Sociedad. However, the Chronicle now says it’s £130 million bid (which will be the Premier League record). Plus, add-ons may be enough to force sales.

Magpies once again suffered a loss to Arsenal, K-League XI and Atletico Madrid, but managed a draw with Tottenham Hotspur and Espanyol.
