Manchester United have turned their attention to signing the top-center midfielder in the summer transfer window, but they may need to move fast for their number one goal
Manchester United has been warned that they will need to move fast to land Brighton midfielder Carlos Valleva. United are reportedly keen to sign Baleva at the summer transfer window, with Reuben Amorim chasing the holding midfielder for a 3-4-3 formation.
United reportedly contacted Brighton to discuss possible transfers this summer. Cameroon International has been on the Seagulls deal for three years, worth £100 million after an outstanding campaign.
The Amorim side spent more than £2 million this summer to introduce Matthews Cuña, Brian Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesco. They probably need to offload some of the unnecessary players, such as Jadon Sancho and Alejandro Garnacho, before moving on to other targets.
However, Troy Deeney warned them that if Real Madrid doesn’t move fast enough, they could possibly appear as Valeva’s rival. The Real is in the central midfielder market and links with Manchester City’s star Rodri, but Deany believes Beleva can also fit the bill.

“I think United should get this window from Beleva, or they won’t get him,” Deeney said in Turksport. “If he has another good season, I think other teams from Real Madrid, like that, ‘Bosch, we have him.’
“If Man United wanted him… if I was Reuben Amorim, I’m a bit bullish about it. I’d say, ‘Because I can take this deal to Europe.’
Brighton has been no stranger to driving star players in a fierce bargain with Alexis Mac Alistair, Mark Culera, Moises Kayseko and Joan Pedro in recent years. Last week, CEO Paul Barber played down rumors around Valeva.
“We have great talent. We’re always interested in players,” he said. “Manchester United have not been in touch with me, and from that point of view, speculation is speculation.
“We’re always meant to be leaving a competitive team if we end up doing it with players, not just players. We don’t want to sell the best players.
“I hope he will be here for years to come, but as always, it is subjective to the dynamics of the football world that is not always predictable.”
