Two of the best rivals in Premier League ever, scheduled to meet up on the first weekend of the 2025/26 campaign, fans and observers will have the opportunity to show early whether the club has signed correctly and which teams have gotten a better deal.
The road to the Premier League
Gyokeres is already familiar with British football and joined Brighton at the age of 19 at If Brommapojkarna, but failed to make a breakthrough at Amex by lending loans to St. Pauli, Swansea and Coventry during his time on the South Coast.
He eventually moved to Coventry in the championship, helping the Sky Blues reach the playoff final in 2023.
Viktor Gyokeres career goals (all competitions)
Slovenian star Sesco caught the eye of Red Bull Salzburg at just 16 years old, and during his development he scored 21 goals in the 2020/21 season, impressed with loans at Feeder Club FC’s Reefer.
Back in Salzburg, he scored 29 times the points in two years for Austria’s two Bundesliga titles.
He stayed at the Red Bull train, Raipzig.

Gyoker, 28, has an advantage in terms of experience, but Sesco, 22, of Slovenia, has more room to grow given his age.
Recent forms
After losing to Luton Town in Wembley’s match in 2023, Coventry had to acquire the main assets, with Gyoker from the sport accepting an offer of £20 million and thriving with 68 league goals in just 66 matches in two seasons, with the club backing up for the Portuger title.
The Swedes also warned Europe of his talent with a hat-trick against Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League last season.

Meanwhile, in Germany, Sesco’s impressive debut season in the Bundesliga saw the club find net backs 18 times in all competitions as they finished fourth to qualify for the UEFA Champions League.
For the club, they missed Europe completely and were surprised by the seventh place league finish, so last season wasn’t that successful.
However, Sesko continued to thrive with 21 goals in all competitions, making it the best scoring season, attracting the attention of Europe’s biggest aspects.
While some may argue about the strength of the Bundesliga compared to the Portuguese league, Gyoker’s surprising tally should not be ignored yet.

Play style
From a height perspective, Gyoker stands at 6’2″ with Sesko even more impressive 6’5″. Perhaps football has returned to targets to “Big Man” targets, in contrast to the deeper progress that has become popular in the game for several years.
Both players have done most of the work inside the box to commemorate the same with 97 goals for Gyoker on 36 of Sesko’s 40 strikes recorded within the penalty area.
Type of score (all competitions since the 2023/24 season)
Sesko’s height appears to make him effective in the air.
Arsenal’s proficiency from the set pieces is well documented, scoring 14 times in the corners alone in the previous Premier League, an area that United can improve.
Amorim hopes Sesco’s aviation capabilities will boost the numbers from the six corners they scored in the league last season.
Gyoker’s role as a sports penalty taker also helped him tally after converting from 12 yards on 27 occasions in Portugal.
How do they fit?
Despite the disappointing overall campaign for the team, one Manchester United player appeared to stand out among the others. The man is a certain Bruno Fernandez.
The Portuguese star will lead the way in terms of assists and opportunities created for United, and even if they continue to put the same output, Sesco and the team will need to benefit in achieving significant improvements in their 15th place league finish last season.
For the gunner, despite a three-month lack of injuries, Bukayosaka was Arsenal’s leading assist maker in 13 last season, chasing after Martin Odegard and Declan Rice in terms of the chances that were created.
With Gyoker currently towing, concerns about the lack of firepower at Emirates could be put in bed.

“The tally will rise to get his goals” – New male TNT expert
The Premier League welcomes two strikers who are keen to make a mark in the division.
Amorim has not had much luck with Rasmus Hojlund or Joshua Zirkzee before. So it’s the first move of advance that makes sense for Gyoker until Arsenal plummets.
Instead, the Red Devils chose Sesco, who is reportedly top of Mikel Arteta’s wish list since last summer.
One of this potentially appetizing battle began on August 17th, ahead of the big kickoff, asking experts who thought they would score more goals this season for each new club.
“I think Gyoker will score more goals at first, as Arsenal is a better team and creates more opportunities.
“I think Sesco is scoring the goal. I’m going to do it and I think it’ll go up as Man United improves the tally that will get his target.
“It’s just something that’s just about, and it just leads to a reason why I think Arsenal is a better team and they have more creativity about them at the moment.”
“If you look at the positions with two clubs and the two clubs last year, I think Gyoker should score more goals because Arsenal will dominate the game more, so I think it will create more opportunities.
“Sesko comes in and he has Mbeumo and Cunha to share his goals.
“They are two exciting signatures, but they have a lot to prove, why don’t they? They play in their respective leagues with respect and what they did isn’t like playing in the Premier League.
“So I’m really interested in how they made it to the ground in the Premier League.”

“(Gyokeres) will probably get more because the way Arteta plays at the crossroads of the ball, how big he is, and that’s one of his strengths, so we’ll probably get more opportunities.”
TNT Sports’ latest critics have been advised to both players when it comes to adapting to the Premier League.
The former West Ham striker gives the game a variation and says “estimating a defender” is key to becoming a successful striker in the division.
“I feel like I had to constantly confuse what I was doing,” he says his experience has been adapted to top flight football.
“I couldn’t just keep it short. I had to go backwards and make it short… I had to keep them guessing at all times.
“When you try to do one thing, these centre halfs aren’t slow, so it’s easier.
“In the olden days, the centre was very slow and very stocky so you can easily run backwards… they’re not like that (now).
“So there needs to be a move that they try to keep guessing, and they need to keep thinking.
“Go behind them, get shorter, rotate backwards, switch positions. Sometimes you don’t really know where you are, so change it to change it and change the game plan all the time.”
