Tottenham manager Thomas Frank put his foot down and made a big call ahead of his side’s match against Paris Saint-Germain in the Super Cup on Wednesday night
Thomas Frank lined up in the sands of Tottenham, leaving Yves Bizuma at home for a Super Cup match against Paris Saint-Germain.
The Spurs will win PSG at Udeen on Wednesday night after winning the Europa League. It will be the first competitive game to arrive from Brentford and replace Ange Postecoglou.
And Dane made his expectations clear by punishing Bizma to protect his poor time. At a press conference in Udeen, Frank was asked to update on injured but joined Italian teams Dominique Solanke, Destiny Udogie and Radu Dragusin.
“There’s a long term condition here for a slightly longer player to support the team and be part of the group,” he replied.
“Dom is a positive thing and tomorrow can be chosen, so it’s very good. Fate is approaching training with the group. So they are two big things and Bisma is not traveling with the team for disciplinary reasons.”

Asked to explain further, Frank added: “He was delayed a few times. Now this latest period is too much. Every person needs to give a lot of love to the player, but there is also a demand, there is a result, and this time there is a result.
“For me, there were consequences. It’s for this trip. I’ll follow up when I get home. I’ll park for the moment because tomorrow I have a relatively important game.”
It is not the first time that Bisma has been disciplined during his stay in Tottenham. In this example, he had only one year left on his contract, and Joan Parchínya arrived on loan from Bayern Munich.
The 28-year-old Mari International was suspended by the club for his first game last season. The video then appeared on social media, appearing to inhale nitrous oxide.
“I want to apologise for these videos,” he said at the time. “This was a lack of strict judgment. I understand how serious this is and how health risks there are. I also take my responsibility as a footballer and role model very seriously.”
The midfielder was criticized by Post-Coglu in March after being replaced by a 2-0 defeat by Fulham. Asked to explain his decision to withdraw Bissouma, Postecoglou said “allowed the game to drift over him.”
He joined the Spurs in Brighton in June 2022 for £30 million, making 100 appearances for the club and scoring twice. Bissouma is a key player under Postecoglou’s management team, making 44 appearances last season as the Spurs finished 17th in the Premier League.
