Mikel Arteta added six players to the Arsenal team this summer, but the seventh is still possible – if Gunners act quickly to land a target of next high-profile.

Arsenal has completed most of its summer transfer business, but there is still one notable deal to close. While some fans see Ebeki Eze as a lack of Gunner’s Jigsaw, manager Mikel Arteta is running out of time and adding England International to his team.

Arteta’s armory was busy with the first summer window, where Andrea Berta was in charge of the transfer. Kepa Arrizabalaga, Viktor Gyokeres, Noni Maduke, Cristhian Mosquera, Christian Norgaard and Martin Zubimendi all arrived in north London at a cost of over £200 million.

The Eze move will see the Sum Climb even higher, with Crystal Palace Star available with a £68 million release clause. However, that provision will expire on Friday.

According to the Guardian, Spurs are not expected to bid much on Eze after already spending more than £100 million on others on Mohammed Kudus, Kevin Danso and Mattis Tell. The same publication claims that Eze, who spent time as a youth at Arsenal’s academy, supports a move on Mikel Arteta’s side.

A £68 million bid could still end work after the release clause expires. But if Arsenal wants to ensure they will need to raise funds through player sales over the next two days.

Small quantities have already arrived this summer, with Nuno Tavarez and Marquinhos set out after last season’s loan. Fabio Vieira is also scheduled to leave, and although Stuttgart is Keene, the transfer fee for the former Portostar is subject to some transfer fees.

Jakub Kiwior and Oleksandr Zinchenko could find themselves elsewhere if the right offer arrived, but there were reports of interest in the third choice goalkeeper Karl Hein. However, Leandro Trossard is the player most likely to win healthy fees despite being in the final year of his contract.

“I’m happy. I think everyone is the best involved. I think that’s what we want. And we’ll have to start with 11 players.

“Finally, they have to do with the team, their quality, their connections and that is exactly what we need and we need to get it on that pitch every day.

“We’ve never had a demand this season in terms of the competition we have to play and the amount of games these guys have to play, so it’s no different from any of the top teams in this country.”
