Manchester United and Newcastle continue to play a tug of war over Benjamin Sesco.
RB Leipzig’s hierarchy met with Benjamin Sesco and his agent Elvis Basanovic on Sunday night to discuss the possible sales of the striker against one of the two Premier League clubs.
However, the Bundesliga club has firmly rejected the 75 million euro and 5 million euro bonuses from Newcastle’s first offer, and Manchester United hopes to take the Slovenian star off the future by bringing its Slovenian star to Old Trafford instead.
The coveted striker was locked out in a tug-of-war between the Premier League Giants as Sesco was not on Leipzig’s match-day team on Saturday afternoon with a friendly Leipzig team with Serie a Side Atalanta.
Meanwhile, Newcastle has another controversy with current top marksman Alexander Isaac, who is pursuing a new challenge. Liverpool remains at the forefront of signing Swedish International, but his asking price remains a problem.

It is unclear how Isaac’s future is linked, as well as the moves of Sesco and manager Eddie Howe has previously stated his desire to have two high-end options in every position.
United took the first approach to the Slovenian star last week through an intermediary who opened a dialogue about a potential deal. Those talks are underway and will rise this week after United returned from a three-game US tour this week.
United are considering offloading multiple players before the summer transfer window closes, but they have the scope to sign strikers without selling. Marcus Rashford’s loan move during season move to Barcelona cleared £12 million from the annual wage bill, and La Liga Club covered his entire salary.
United also raised £20.7 million from the sell-on clause, including Anthony Elanga’s switch to Newcastle, the move to Alvaro Fernandez and Maxi Oedere, and the £5 million Chelsea paid to withdraw from the contract.
What’s more, United’s failure to compete in Europe this season – just the second time in 35 years – means they won’t be bound by UEFA’s restrictions of spending less than 70% of their annual income on relocations and wages.
The structure of the Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo’s deal totals to £133.5 million, with payments spreading into installments, giving United greater freedom.
