Kevin De Bruin hints that one of his former Manchester City teammates has been unstable in Etihad this summer and is interested in following him in Napoli
Kevin de Bruin dropped a cheeky hint that Jack Grelish might be joining him in Naples this summer. It comes after his own exit from Manchester City 10 years after the trophy was mounted.
De Bruyne will write a two-year deal with Serie A Titan and embark on a fresh Italian challenge. He leaves behind an array of glorious honors that won alongside his city peers, but he could potentially join him to join another club star in the Italian soil.
The Belgian maestro switched to Naples in an interview with Corriere de Ro Sport, teasing the possibility of Glaeshe dressed in an urban fringe. When asked whether the British had told him about their move to Naples, he replied with a laugh, “Maybe.”

Grelish lost his favor at City, and Pep Guardiola even decided to skip him from his Club World Cup team this summer. Everton appeared as a potential suitor at 29, but many other clubs have linked with the winger who arrived at Etihad in 2021 for £100 million.
Meanwhile, Dean Smith openly shares his desire to reunite with the former Aston Villa Ace, and hopes MLS’s Charlotte FC will seduce him across the pond, Manchester Evening News reports. However, despite Smith’s eagerness to steal the gloves from Man City, he admits that the player still has “unfinished business” in Europe, and Napoli could be the answer to that.
Grealish has earned over 157 appearances for Man City, scoring 17 goals and providing 23 assists. His trophy cabinet features three Premier League titles, the FA Cup, the FIFA Club World Cup, the UEFA Super Cup and the Champions League Trophy.
He is also keen to make the mark of this season to secure the place in the 2020 European Championship against England and secure the place for Thomas Tuschel’s team in the 2026 World Cup. As speculation around Grealish continues to grow, a reunion with De Bruyne could potentially be on the horizon.
That’s if Graelush won’t join Everton this summer, either permanently or on loan, but Toffee is in discussion with City about Starr’s services. Sky Blues can leave the northwest this summer, this summer, if the correct deal is agreed.
Given that David Moyes is looking for a team overhaul this summer, an in-season loan may be his best option to secure Grealish for a fresh campaign. However, his large wages could be a hurdle and Everton may need the city to pay a portion of them for the job.
