Jack Grelish has been tilted to leave Manchester City all summer, and Everton has begun talking to land his favorite playmaker on a card loan agreement
Jack Grelish is in discussion with Everton about a move that could give him a route from Manchester City, where the future of playmakers in Etihad appears to be over.
Four years after his then British record, the £100 million move turned to Grail and allowed him to move to Toffee, where David Moet is trying to strengthen his team. City is open to the player’s exit and will let him leave if the correct transaction is filed.
Grealish’s playing time gradually reduced in the previous period, and he was not part of the Club World Cup team. He is expected to find a new club before the transfer window closes this summer, and reports that Everton has expressed interest in bringing the former Aston Villa man.
The discussion between the clubs is in the early stages, with people in Merseyside exploring potential deals that could be loaned during the season. A potential hurdle could be Grealish’s large wages.
Grealish has teamed up with personal trainer Jamie Reynolds to ensure he is a major state of movement this summer. The players trained with the Pep Guardiola team on the city’s open day in front of fans on Tuesday.

The city boss admitted that Grail’s normal football could no longer be guaranteed, and the club welcomed a new arrival that could push the British further down into the pecking order. Rayan Cherki signs from Lyon and may play ahead of Grealish.
Catalonia said last May: “I understand all the complaints of all the players. It’s very good to dream of playing in the World Cup and in the European Championships with his national team. Otherwise I’m worried.”
The 29-year-old knows that when the World Cup comes next summer, he will need regular minutes to prove to Thomas Touchel that he deserves a recall.
The German said: “Is he a player who can influence our team? Yes – 100%. But he simply doesn’t have a rhythm. He knows himself. I think Jack will make the minutes he plays better. He has a character that will become the glue for the team.
Guardiola began Grelish only once in the Premier League throughout 2025, an unused replacement in the final FA Cup defeat.
