Benjamin Sesco is on the verge of his move from RB Leipzig to Manchester United, but there are some welcome news surrounding another target for the Red Devils’ transfer target

Manchester United’s Benjamin Sesco’s pursuit was not literally, but sacrifices. By prioritizing Slovenian strikers, Reuben Amorim’s side is unlikely to block the midfield hole with Carlos Bereba.

United are expected to pay up to £74 million, including Sesko add-ons, and RB Leipzig has confirmed that players are training away from other teams. The Red Devils are confident Newcastle hit a beat on his signature, and are planning to bring summer spending to a total of around £200 million.

They also explored the Brighton Star’s Baleva move, but it doesn’t get cheaper. According to Athletic, the move is likely to be unrealistic given United’s payouts, but they are still testing the water to see if the move is possible.

Signing both Sesko and Baleba in this window requires significant sales elsewhere. Jadon Sancho, Alejandro Garnacho and Antony could all potentially leave before the windows close, but that would be offset by Sesko’s spending.

United already bring in a young left-back Diego Leon while spending heavily on Matthews Cuña and Brian Mbemo. Despite Amorim’s limited options in front of defense, Baleva’s move will have to wait until 2026.

Valeva joined Brighton from the reel in the summer of 2023. Two weeks after the Seagulls sold fellow midfielder Moises Kayseko to Chelsea. Cameroon International played in 34 leagues last year, scoring the club’s first goal, and was asked about his future in May.

“If they can help me, I’ll accept that helping and developing that help. So I’m working to help my team and to advance for myself and for the future,” he said. “In return, anyone who wants me to go to the highest level, if there is a big club that wants me, it doesn’t make me worried or excited.

United’s season faced Arsenal on August 17th, with Reuben Amorim’s side impressed by the preseason. They claimed two wins and draws on three Premier League summer series fixtures, and head coach Amorim has seen a lot of positives.

“I think it’s a perfect feeling to go back to Carrington,” Amorim said ahead of Saturday’s friendship with Fiorentina. “The momentum on the tour was perfect.

“We worked for two weeks in a good, good environment to return to Carrington. We are close to the start of the season and we feel we need to do a lot.”
