Manchester United are reportedly in talks with Juventus over a summer contract for Joshua Zirkzee. The striker joined the Red Devils under Erik ten Hag but failed to make an impact in his two seasons at Old Trafford.
The Dutchman originally joined from Bologna and appears set to make a return to Italy’s top flight, with Juventus also said to be keen. The Turin side were close to finalizing a deal with former loanee Randal Kolo Muani, but the deal with PSG collapsed at the 11th hour.
So, according to The Sun, Juventus are eyeing Zirksee, who could be acquired as part of a cut-price deal. According to the newspaper, United bosses have agreed to include a £30m buyout option in his contract and allow Zirkzee to go on loan.
However, Juventus are not the only ones chasing Zirksee, with Roma also having an interest in the attacker for some time. Unlike Juventus, Roma are offering Champions League football this season, but it looks like the Old Lady boasts the best chance of securing a contract.
Zirksee, who has scored just nine goals since joining the Red Devils, is thought to be open to joining Juventus if a deal is finalized. Zirksee’s sources are said to believe Serie A is a better fit for his style of play, with the 25-year-old having struggled in the hustle and bustle of the Premier League.

“The young players coming up, I thought they were good, played as a team and deserved what they got. I thought there were a lot of good things. Some goals were great and (it’s) as nice as keeping a clean sheet. We’re making good progress.”
“When you’re in that zone and you’re confident, that’s when you’re at your best as a soccer player. It’s my job to try to get the players into that mindset.”
