Arsenal are planning a sensational signing for Vinicius Junior, with the Real Madrid star set to offer a record-breaking salary to sign him from the Bernabéu.
Arsenal will be prepared to offer Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior the biggest contract in the club’s history to complete a mega transfer deal. Vinicius, 26, has emerged as an ambitious target for Arsenal, who are closely monitoring developments regarding his uncertain future at Madrid.
The winger is in the final year of his contract with Real, who will pay him a hefty loyalty bonus if he stays until the 2026-27 season. Los Blancos risk losing Vinicius on a free transfer next summer unless they sign him to a new contract.
According to a report in the Telegraph, his staggering £400,000-a-week salary is not a problem for Arsenal. Indeed, Emirates bosses will be looking to improve this figure to increase their chances of signing the Brazil international.
Vinicius’ expected salary will be well below that of Arsenal’s current highest earner, Bukayo Saka. Bukayo Saka signed a £365,000-a-week contract in February, which increases each season. The Gunners will be hoping to build on their Premier League title bid and take another step forward in the Champions League after losing on penalties to Paris Saint-Germain in last season’s final.

The left wing is a position that manager Mikel Arteta is keen to strengthen after releasing Leandro Trossard to Besiktas. Arsenal have already signed Christos Tzoris, who can play on either side of the attack, for £34 million, but they have no intention of stopping there.
PSG’s Bradley Barcola has been closely watched, with Premier League rivals Liverpool also interested in the Frenchman. However, both clubs are valued at £145m.
Arsenal and Real have not had direct contact regarding Vinicius, who manager Jose Mourinho is likely to oppose selling at the start of his second spell at Madrid. However, concerns remain about how an attack that includes both Vinicius and Kylian Mbappé will perform at the top level.

Since Mbappé joined Real from PSG in July 2024, weeks after winning a historic La Liga and Champions League double with Vinicius at the center of their success, they have gone trophyless and gone through three permanent managers. Meanwhile, arch-rivals Barcelona have won five of the six domestic trophies available.
Real will play their first pre-season friendly on Tuesday when they host fellow Madrid-based club Leganes. Vinicius will not play as he is still on vacation after the World Cup.
