Marcus Rashford missed Barcelona’s open goal in the annual Joan Gamper Trophy match against Italian Como. The forward, which is on loan from Manchester United, has been selected by manager Hansi Frick into the traditional preseason fixture lineup. Barcelona got off to a fast start with four goals before the half-time interval, but Rashford was not among the scorers.
He had the opportunity to enter the moment of act before whi, but he made a wrong bearing and produced a terrible mistake. Rashford did everything right up to his golden chances, picked up the ball and rounded up Como goalkeeper Jean Boutez. He also inexplicably fired the broad efforts of the empty net before he made the other side’s defender wrong.
Given how close he was to the goal, Rashford would have been easier to score than a mistake. Several of his teammates placed their hands on their heads, and he responded with disbelief shrugs.

Rashford was playing a good game, even as Barcelona rioted at Johann Cruyff Stadium.
The 27-year-old hopes to revive his career in Spain after struggling with United over the past few seasons. He was loaned out to Aston Villa late in the previous campaign, scoring four goals in 17 appearances.
United icon Owen Hargreaves has suggested that he will help Rashford thrive in Barcelona, providing him the perfect environment for him to rediscover his form.
Speaking to TNT Sports earlier this month, Hargreaves said:
“He understands the game. (His) player is very close to him. I told the players about him. They say he is the best manager he’s ever had.
“From a tactical perspective, in terms of scoring goals and playing that high line, it’s not just the way he talks to players, but also the confidence he gives them. Marcus is very unique in his talent, but obviously his confidence has been hit.
“To go there and play under a manager who trusts you, he really wanted him. I think it’s a great opportunity to go to a place where the culture he didn’t have at Manchester United really gets better.”
