Wolves’ new manager Cesar Peixoto laid down the law during the club’s pre-season campaign, asking striker Tolu Alokodare not to train with the first-team squad.

Championship side Wolves canceled Monday’s training session after striker Tolu Alokodare refused to leave the pitch. Extra security was also deployed to prevent the 25-year-old from returning to the club’s training ground the following day.
This extraordinary development occurred just a few weeks into Cesar Peixoto’s reign as manager. The Portuguese was called up to replace Rob Edwards, who was sacked after Wolves finished bottom of the table and were relegated from the Premier League.
Arokodea, who scored just six goals in 38 games, was part of the team that was responsible for Wolves’ disastrous season and was linked with a move away. And his future at Molineux has been thrown into further uncertainty following Monday’s debacle.
Wolves Podi reported that practice was canceled because Alokodea refused to leave the pitch despite being asked not to practice with the rest of the team. Wolves increased security at Compton Park on Tuesday to prevent the former Genk star from entering.

Alokodea will not feature when Wolves play non-league side Maidenhead United in a pre-season friendly on Wednesday night. Serie A clubs such as Genoa and Fiorentina have expressed interest in signing Arrocodale, whose bid was rejected earlier this month.
The decision to prevent Alokodare from training was seen as a show of power for Peixoto, who has been tasked with returning Wolves to the Premier League, and he revealed in his first interview exactly what type of manager he will be. “First of all, I’m a very demanding manager,” said former coach Gil Vicente.
“But I believe in giving maximum freedom and maximum responsibility to others. We want to work as a team and as a unit and build a good environment. This is important to me, but I know very well what I want from the team. I want the team to be organized, with or without the ball.”

“Secondly, I want a team with intensity, I want to be aggressive and win duels.” Thirdly, I want to show the quality of the players. Play an attacking game and try to press high. Try being the main character of the game. I want to win the game, but I also want to play good soccer and win. With passion and energy.
“(Supporters) can expect a team with ambition, a strong personality and identity and a strong idea of the game. A team that will never give up to get the three points and make the fans proud.”
Wolves have made the loan of defender Ladislav Kureishi permanent for a total of £26 million, and have also made three new signings. Right-back Kieran Trippier and striker Raul Jimenez joined Edwards on a free transfer, with the club subsequently paying a reported £7.7m for left-winger Rafiki Said.
