Manchester United have already unveiled their new home kit for the 2026/27 Premier League season, but the Red Devils’ away kit was leaked weeks before their first game.
Stormzy appears to have leaked Manchester United’s new away kit while attending the World Cup final.
The Red Devils have already released their Adidas home shirt for the upcoming campaign, with supporters getting their first glimpse of the new kit during their recent 1-0 pre-season defeat to Wrexham.
However, the away kit remained a secret. That was until rapper Stormzy shared a snap of himself stripping while watching the World Cup final between Spain and Argentina.
The rapper shared a small teaser of the kit on his Instagram Stories, with supporters noticing that the Red Devils have opted for a bold blue with red and white trim, which appears to be an homage to some of United’s popular kits from the 1980s.
Adidas has also opted for a classic look this time, using the Trefoil logo instead of the usual performance logo. The shirt also has a subtle wave pattern.
Stormzy captioned his post: “@ManUnited I saw you here for the first time.” Fans were then able to get a closer look at the shirt on Mayowa Quadri’s account, who filmed Stormzy showing it off on the MetLife Stadium concourse.
This isn’t the first time the rapper has been trusted with some United secrets. He previously revealed he was one of the first to find out about Paul Pogba’s record-breaking return to Old Trafford.
He said, “At the time, it was like the biggest secret on the planet and we were thinking of ways to drop a bomb at any time. Just the power of having a crazy secret like that.”
“It was tough to keep him back. A lot of my family are United fans, especially my brother. He was like, ‘Are you going to sign?!'” I didn’t tell anyone! ”
Asked if he needed to sign any contracts, Stormzy replied: “Yeah, secret locations and all that stuff. He’s a really nice guy.”
Meanwhile, the rapper previously explained exactly why he is a United fan. He said, “I always hit the stick.
“There are probably even people watching now who say, ‘Listen to his accent, what is he doing supporting United?’” But that’s just the way the stars aligned for me.
“When I was younger, I didn’t have a brother or a father figure to support United, so it all came from me. Cockney Red, what can you do?”
